West Ham at least appear to be showing a bit of fight, which should be enough given how poor their rivals are. Tough game for us down there on Wednesday.
Wonder if Sean is there tonight? One rep from clubs due to play are allowed.
Noble should be back next week as well.

Why do we struggle so much against the top sides when other sides seem to give them closer games?
Beat Man U, drew with Spurs, beat Leicester, lost at Leicester because of a hideous VAR decision and drew at Wolves when we’d played them off the park only for them to get a seriously dodgy pen at the end. And this season was the first time we’d lost at Chelsea in three years.

Crackin' free kick from Willian. Wonder if he fancies coming to Burnley? (I wish.)

The last 4 times WH have launched the ball from their own box. Antonio has had the next touch. 2defenders back. Why aren’t they going one in front, one behind?

Huge 3 points for the Hammers, it's looking grim for Bournemouth & Villa, and Watford are looking over their shoulders big time now.

Not surprising. Doesn't Kepa have a save percentage for shots on target at about 50%?

I think it's either Watford or Villa to go now.
Obviously, Norwich are gone and Bournemouth ain't gonna get out of it.

And 3 goals, that's what you call clinical, now that was a game that deserved a crowd, that's the 1st game to really catch fire since the return.

Mot sure why he was retained and Trippier transferred.

nonsense decision - ref was blowing for a freekick, waved play on for advantage, spurs score and it's ruled out - VAR is a shambles

Handball I understand, harsh yes, but they're the rules, but then why is the ball given to Sheff Utd to continue the game, why is it not called back for a Spurs free kick for the foul on Moura?

That's the most ridiculous 'disallowed handball' goal ever.
Didn't even get the FK for the trip!

Definite handball by the laws of the game. Not sure why Spurs didn’t get a free kick though.

You have to listen to Phil Neville who doesn’t understand the rule. Given he was in charge of the England women’s team you have to wonder...
Phil... if it hits the attackers arm before a goal it does not have to be deliberate, whereas if it hits a defenders arm when defending it has to be deliberate

SheffU win for me then we do them on Sunday. Slow Spurs down.
2-1 would be good. I don’t want Englands third choice keeper getting a clean sheet.

It was a straight red offence, looked directly at the player going into the challenge and led with the elbow into the other player, Davies?, face.

Correct decision by the laws of the game, now whether the laws should be changed is another matter altogether, Jose's not happy as you'd expect.
Hope Sheff Utd aren't hitting their straps, this is the best they've looked since the resumption.

Didn’t look like a straight red offence to me. Second yellow without a doubt but not sure about a red.

Blades have named only seven subs., three have not played much or at all so far this season.
Looks like they might have similar problems to ourselves.
Our lads will have had relatively a nice long rest and a chance to patch one or two more up for Sunday.

BUT it was only handball because Moura was fouled - look at the replay from behind the goal, the ref see's the foul and puts the whistle to his mouth but plays on (brilliantly) because the ball falls to Kaine - VAR cannot possibly rule that handball and not give a freekick to Spurs on the edge of the box
I was 100% for VAR but the people making the decisions are Trump level incompetent. We need ex players doing VAR not robots

Surely it’s the referee’s decision to determine how the game is restarted. Only the on field officials have to authority to award the original foul.
Edit - poorly worded.

that may be the case, but how can Michael Oliver give hand ball for something that was caused by a foul that the ref had seen and played advantage for - it's just horrendously poor judgement from Oliver

Oliver did the right thing by reviewing the hand ball because it was hand ball and it led to a goal. The fact that it was a foul that led to the hand ball is neither here nor there with regards to the decision. I agree that play should have restarted with a FK to Spurs though, unless the VAR laws don’t allow for that. Not sure how Oliver can be blamed. If the infield ref was playing an advantage then it was for him to bring play back for the free kick.
