C'mon Pool, get at least one and stop Ederson getting a clean sheet for Popey.

Should have scored then.
Re: tonight's games
What month of next season do we reckon the english press and fans start turning on Foden over jealousy of his talents and bank account. I’ll go with January.

VAR messes up again. No foul by Walker according to the screen, so why did Liverpool still get a free kick?

Re: tonight's games
Badly worded. It meant no foul in the area. As it was outside.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 9:33 pmVAR messes up again. No foul by Walker according to the screen, so why did Liverpool still get a free kick?

Getting very bunched up in the middle of the table.. one result either way and we're 7th or 13th.
That's quite a difference in prize money come the final standings..
Is it £2m per place ?

Re: tonight's games
Mistake on the screen. They were checking whether the foul was inside or outside the box.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 9:37 pmVAR messes up again. No foul by Walker according to the screen, so why did Liverpool still get a free kick?

Re: tonight's games
What I do know is that teams promoted from the Championship, both this season and next, will get £8 million less than teams have done previously. That's quite a lump if Leeds and co were thinking of strenghening their squads if they come up.Woonderbah wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 9:36 pmGetting very bunched up in the middle of the table.. one result either way and we're 7th or 13th.

Exactly, VAR messed up again. Imagine if there had been a crowd in and so that. Confusing or what?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 9:39 pmMistake on the screen. They were checking whether the foul was inside or outside the box.

We want 5 we want 5
And 1 for Liverpool, so no clean sheet.

Re: tonight's games
Leeds have at least 2 takeover options so will be very surprised if they don't spend 50+ million on players. Probably more.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 9:40 pmWhat I do know is that teams promoted from the Championship, both this season and next, will get £8 million less than teams have done previously. One of the possible takeovers has connections with PSG.

Didn't know that, but even so, £8 million is a fair lump.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 9:43 pmLeeds have at least 2 takeover options so will be very surprised if they don't spend 50+ million on players. Probably more.

Re: tonight's games
Leeds will have to fork out £22million for Augustin the striker they got on loan in January that has played a grand total of 46 minutes for them.
Leeds are actively trying to get out of the contract but Leipzig say it is water tight.
That will be a big blow to there budget this summer

At a guess Stoke away in Gerrard's last match they lost 6-1. I know Liverpool have sealed the title, but Klopp can't be happy with this.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 9:43 pmWow, when did Liverpool last have four scored against them?

Re: tonight's games
When City are at their best, they're the best in the country. Those days haven't been as often this season as the last couple though

TV viewers? I think they are just trying to make matches as normal as possible.

Re: tonight's games
Too inconsistent this season, losing away to Norwich etc. If they played us every week though they'd walk it.matttheclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 9:52 pmWhen City are at their best, they're the best in the country. Those days haven't been as often this season as the last couple though

Re: tonight's games
You have to feel for Villa, they'll likely reap the Liverpool backlash, and surely there will be a backlash after tonight.
Just glad we're not the next visitors to Anfield, let them take their anger out on others before we go to visit.

I see Liverpool have Minemino playing for them just googled him for a picture

Yes, the first team were playing somewhere else at the same time.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 10:13 pmI presume that they had a weakened team out then? I can't remember. Anyway, I was thinking more about in the PL.

Re: tonight's games
That disallowed goal perfectly sums up how stupid the new handball rules are. Goal disallowed after Foden was fouled, leading to him unavoidably handling the ball, which made absolutely no difference to the run of the ball

Re: tonight's games
I've just watched the spurs goal. Its an even worse decision than the City one. Its farcical. If they don't review this rule as an absolute priority then we might as well give up
Re: tonight's games
Oh dear! Just watched the disallowed Spurs goal.
