MIGHTY CLARETS versus Wotfor?

Post by IanMcL » Thu Jun 25, 2020 2:25 pm

The roar of the baying crowd will scare wotfor to death.
(Probably just Dave Burnley)

Big match for us. We need to quell all the disturbances of recent days and let our team of heroes make their mark.

First bit of good news....

Madge has signed to the end of the season. Well done Mr G and thanks to Holycustard for continuing the let of his shoebox, in the cupboard, under the stairs.

Have an o nine planning meeting, so back later.

Good afternoon from a barmy 21c here in Galway and dry for now , not as hot it will be at the Turf tonight but there you go .
Off home within an hour few things to do at home then sat infront of the lap top for the rest of the night .
Let the games begin UTC .

Not convinced we'll be up for this and predicting a 0-2 win for Watford. Hope I'm wrong but with our injuries and lack of options on the bench I think we could struggle in our next few games. Luckily we have enough points IMO and relegation isn't an issue.

Afternoon from a baking hot Glasgow, i know we're shocked as well.

At least Madge is looking good post-lockdown.

As for the game who knows, but we can't be as bad as Monday surely, and Watford aren't exactly world-beaters, attitude as vital in this one, that's why Bardsley has to start, he gives us an impetus, and boll**ks people not doing their jobs, that's what we need right now, a bit of oomph!

3-0
Brace from The Vyd & a spectacular 30 yarder from Jay.

Surprised Lowton got the nod, good to see a few youngsters on the bench, if we get a couple of goals ahead, they might get a brief run-out in the dying minutes.

Any news on Brady? Surprised he is not on the bench at least. Bench is looking thin but at least we are not up against Man City this time... I'd be happy with a draw. I think Watford will be on the front foot, looking for a win, but they would probably be happy with at least a point

Burnley fans on Twitter going into meltdown with #garlickout

I'm up for this!

Tomfoolery and witchcraft - Lowton

Skill, Craft and Guile - Brownhill and McNeil

Leadership - Mee and Tarks

Workrate - Westy and Corky

Consistency - Pope

Pace and good looks - Taylor.

Do whatever it is you do Jay rod and Vyds and maybe a couple of goals as well would be splendid!

What's all the moaning about we've got 9 subs, you can only name 9 can't you, so what's the problem. We're not the only team that's being stretched over this hectic period, Palace didn't have a full bench last night, and how much action would the 2 sub keepers, & Lennon have seen in the last 9 games anyway, the only notable loss is Hendrick, and he can't be forced to stay, we signed Bardsley, which plugs a gap in the squad,i'm not really sure how much more the club could have done in the circumstances, and it's hardly like we're in a relegation fight is it.

Howdy, anyone got a link. I'm in Portugal and I've had Pick TV for the last 6 or 7 years...until last Friday when it was taken from me without warning. No more Murders Most Despicable or The Equilizerer. And, more importantly, no free Prem games!!

Decent start to the game, quite open, that bit of quality provided by McNeil. Watford don’t look like struggling team.

Commentator: Burnley are the master of set pieces, a 3rd of their goals are from set pieces.
