Brownhill
Good work for the goal, some not so good touches,
just needs some time to get with the demands of the PL.
Haven't seen much of him till now.
Should be a good addition.

Re: Brownhill
We've been chatting about him and it will take time for him to get used to playing at this level, but what a good ball from him for the goal.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 8:41 pmGood work for the goal, some not so good touches,

Re: Brownhill
Great touch and lay off for the goal
Re: Brownhill
He's also playing out of position
Re: Brownhill
Got in some good positions in their box. He might score a few once he gets used to the league.

Re: Brownhill
Looked good to me. After his involvement in the goal he was clearly more confident and started making nice one touch passes and touches in the midfield. Clearly a better central midfielder though. Very similar to Jeff really and looks a good replacement.

He did many of the things Jeff would have done. Promising performance and I feel he will grow into this team with more confidence and game time

Re: Brownhill
Looked decent enough at this level, anyone is going to struggle being pitched in at City, but tonight was more the type of game he's been signed for, and he did well for the most part, and played a role in the match-winning goal, can't have harmed his confidence, now he'll hopefully feel part of our set-up, and he'll only grow from here.

I am sure he will be a better player than Hendrick was for us, given time.

Re: Brownhill
Things didn't always go right for him tonight.
But it didn't make him shy.
He kept wanting to be involved and grew into the game more. Oddly, he showed some good touches when they were on top the 2nd half.
Reckon he'll come on nicely.

Re: Brownhill
An upgrade on Hendrik imo. That was a very solid effort for only his second PL game.

Re: Brownhill
most impressive thing about him was in the 95th minute he was still running hard, a few errant touches but he played a few balls that were superb that nobody cottoned on to. This end of season run will do him the world of good

Re: Brownhill
He got in some good advanced positions in the first half.
Bit of a 50p head mind (it actually wasn't that easy of a header to make)

Re: Brownhill
Decent performance. Perhaps unsurprisingly he looked better coming inside. I'd like JBG back to give us options but at least this has given an opportunity for Brownhill to bed in.
Re: Brownhill
A promising game from Brownhill. His role in the goal cannot be overlooked, and some of his contributions defensively were excellent. Not all of what he did was great, but he never hid after an error.
He also looked incredibly mobile, even more so than Hendrick and he was pretty mobile. I think he'll turn out to be a good one.

Re: Brownhill
Did well, nice set up for Dwight and his cross, probably a blessing Hendrick has gone so he can get the next 7 games at this level.

Re: Brownhill
Have to be honest, thought he was poor first half; many misplaced passes, header looked poor (was actually harder than it looked), skewed his shot.
Grew in to it, did well for the goal, good engine in the end. Oddly, left me with high hopes, once he settles!

Re: Brownhill
Agree he didn’t look too sharp in the first half.
The good news is that he didn’t disappear
in the second half but actually played better.
Let’s hope he can develop and improve the more
games he has.
If anything a little lightweight in physique?

Looks to get involved and is very positive. Puts a lot of challenges in. Ball retention needs to improve but that will come.

Energetic. A very good signing.
Re: Brownhill
Need him in the middle with Westy now with Cork injured. Got to hope we have some players coming back from injury soon.
He looked composed a lot tonight, still getting used to the pace, but very good tonight

Re: Brownhill
Coincidence that Bristol City have fallen off a cliff since Brownhill left, only won 1 in last 10 or 11 games,
