Brentford v West Brom
Big weekend in the Championship. Brentford starting the weekend in 4th currently playing top side West Brom now and winning 1-0 and tomorrow 2nd place Leeds play 3rd place Fulham.
Hoping for Brentford and Fulham wins to pile the pressure on Leeds to see them choke again.

Brentford and Fulham both winning would be immense but I can't see it. Fulham have choked enough this season, when they could have easily been in the top 2 if they hadn't.

Brentford are easy on the eye.
Play some nice football.

Re: Brentford v West Brom
Now there would be a good manager to replace SD?
Re: Brentford v West Brom
I think one of if not both of West Brom and Leeds will blow it. I can just see a manager giving an interview after they’ve won automatic promotion saying how if they decided to end the season on a PPG basis they wouldn’t of won promotion etcFactualFrank wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 8:16 pmBrentford and Fulham both winning would be immense but I can't see it. West Brom going strong in second half so far but no real clear cut chances and still 1-0 to The Bees.

Come on Fulham
Re: Brentford v West Brom
As long as Rovers don’t make the play offs I don’t care
Re: Brentford v West Brom
Wouldn't mind a trip to Brentford next season. Fulham is a good away day as well.

Brentford leaving Griffin Park at the end of the season, feel bad for the supporters not getting the chance to be there for the final home game.

Yes it’s a real shame. Wonder what the rules are for having one last game there.claretburns wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 10:05 pmBrentford leaving Griffin Park at the end of the season, feel bad for the supporters not getting the chance to be there for the final home game.

Re: Brentford v West Brom
I fear they will. PNE have been falling away badly pretty much since the start of the year and will probably be overhauled by a couple of clubs this weekend.
Rovers look to be the strongest contender on paper. Very strong bench last weekend.
Leeds v Rovers in the play-offs??? I'd be rooting for the Yorkshire team.

Re: Brentford v West Brom
4 big games tomorrow in the Champ, affecting both ends of the table.
PNE-Cardiff
Leeds-Fulham
Stoke-Boro
Wigan-Blackburn
Hope Wigan can carry on their impressive form, otherwise Rovers will likely be in the play-off places.
And a tasty fixture on Sunday Bristol City-Sheff Wed, could be a pivotal weekend, but with the Championship probably not.
Brentford keeping it interesting, but i still can't see them catching the top 2.

Re: Brentford v West Brom
Having watched the Leeds doco on Amazon I’ve developed a bit of a soft spot for them (should I be so ashamed!), and particularly Bielsa and his style of football. So I’ll be rooting for Leeds this arvo.
Sorry folks.

Re: Brentford v West Brom
From a purely selfish point of view I'd prefer Brentford to come up at the expense of Leeds. More likely to be in a relegation scrap than Leeds next season. Think Leeds could seriously kick on if promoted.

Re: Brentford v West Brom
The Knobbers have a tough run in as well. Cardiff at Dumpdale today not easy. I also fear that Bas***d Rovers will sneak in play offs, and we all know what sometimes happens with the team finishing sixth.
Re: Brentford v West Brom
From seeing Fulham & Villa, it wouldn't surprise me if Leeds struggle, simply because the pressure from fans to buy new players means they'll have an unbalanced team next season.

Re: Brentford v West Brom
I think we’re overestimating the standard of these teams. Over the past 4 years of us being in the prem, we’ve built a very decent mid table standard side. Teams coming up from the championship should not be better than us without breaking FFP rules.
