Crystal Palace predictions...
Charlie Nicholas predicted we would lose to Watford and is again predicting a loss to Crystal Palace.
I think we’ve got every chance of 3 points and another move up the table. But what scores are you going for?

Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
For me depends if Zaha plays .
With him 0-1 to Palace without him 0-0
With him 0-1 to Palace without him 0-0

Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
Tough to see many goals i'd take 1-1, and no further injuries, our record there isn't that bad from memory, better than our home form against them anyway.
Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
Hodgson has generally had Dyche's number in recent years. 2-0 Palace.

Depends on whether that Eagle sh*ts in Vydra's eye as he's about to strike.
Hodgson usually upsets us though. 2-0 Palace.

It was 28 years old and had been sick for some time
Think we might struggle for goals unless more than one striker is fit.

Low scoring draw without Zaha. With him a win for them.

Well, that's a shame, (For Kayla anyway.) but I'm sure that they will have a replacement lined up if it was on the cards.Croydon Claret wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 3:27 pmUnlikely, the eagle died of a heart attack last week

Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
Hodgson sides always seem to confound us under Dyche.
Hopefully they'll have worked on something tactically. I'm going for a hopeful 2-0 to the Clarets.
Crystal Palarse 0-2 Burnley

2-0 home win I'm afraid.
We looked tired and lack reinforcements.
We look unorganised from corners and I don't think they will have enough time to get organised on the training pitch.

Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
0-1 Vydra without Zaha otherwise 2-1
Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
Depends on so many things. Will it be the Palace who beat Bournemouth (mind you Bournemouth were shockingly bad) or the one that got hammered at Liverpool. Depends if Zaha gets blown over by a strong breeze. I'll go 1-1 with Palace scoring after a Ladybird trips Zaha up on the edge of our area.
Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
The "not diving so much" thing didn't last long. Igahlo yesterday for man u. No one mentioned it on TV which, I suppose, was because he was clearly held, but if you are sticking your arse into a defender and then the defender has his arms round you, how would you possibly fall over in the direction he did.BenWickes wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 8:25 amDepends on so many things. Several Watford examples in our game as well.
Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
What I was surprised by in yesterday's game was the referee gave the foul on Igahlo . Surely there was a foul on Fernandes before in the build up to that passage of play. That was the initial foul which I thought he'd blown up for, but then; it is Man Utd.
Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
A steady 1-1, we score first, just fail to hang on.
But we'll take that, keeps the wheels turning.

Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
From what I've seen its taking a couple of games for teams to get going, on that basis I'm hoping for another small improvement, a draw would be a good result.

3-1 Burnley, no doubt about it.
Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
Palace average less than a goal a game. Both teams likely to field 'toothless' line ups. I'll go for a dull 0-0 draw

Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
The league table makes quite surprising reading.
Only Norwich have scored less goals than Palace (28)
But only 5 teams have conceded more (all of them in the top 8)
Remarkable really that they are in the top half of the table with only 28 scored and a GD of minus 8!
What that really demonstrates is that they get a lot of 1-0 wins.
I expect it to be tight this evening as well, and a 1-0 to Palace wouldn't surprise me at all.

Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
At least the weather has cooled down, even in London, so if we still have a much weakened team, at least the heat shouldn't play a part.
Still think Palace will win, because Hodgson seems to out think us every time. (Wily old fox that he is.) I think if we are to have a chance, our tactics need to surprise him, but I've no idea how we might do that.
2-0 Palace

This one is very hard to predict. We are into game three out of lockdown so our fitness levels should be higher. I am going for a draw 1-1

Re: Crystal Palace predictions...
I was feeling optimistic earlier and had "a couple of bob" on us winning (13/5 odds). Optimism has faded a bit during the day though, so ... 1-1
