Amazon Prime - Burnley match
Can someone please explain what I need to do to watch tonight’s match? I understand it’s only being shown on Amazon Prime but that’s something I’ve never used before.
Do I need to create an Amazon Prime account and will I have to pay for that?
If money is involved, then I will probably have to hope for a free stream link on the web.

oh goodie, what time is kick off please?
Re: Amazon Prime - Burnley match
As huw.Y.WattfromWare said, it's being streamed on Twitch too which is an Amazon-owned streaming platform.
You can watch without an account for free too.

Has anyone donated to DJ Lee Reynolds on Twirch TV yet ?
Re: Amazon Prime - Burnley match
I have a twitch account as my mate streams his poker games, I may opt for that over stream then if the quality is better.

If you have an Amazon account (not Prime) having ordered something from them, can you not just watch it with that?
Re: Amazon Prime - Burnley match
Yep. it will just ask you to login in with your Amazon account. no need to upgrade to prime etc,ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 9:18 amIf you have an Amazon account (not Prime) having ordered something from them, can you not just watch it with that?

You would just go to this link, and it may ask you to log in, but then just click on our match and watch it.

I’ve found it a bit slow and patchy on the laptop in the past. On my tv it’s been great (built in app). If it works similar as NOWTV (which was unusable on the laptop) but has been working brilliantly with a stick. Amazon fire stick might be the best bet, you’d probably be able to get one delivered by Argos today.

Re: Amazon Prime - Burnley match
The problem with Amazon, well the last round of games in December, is that the games are 5 minutes behind real time, when we lost at home to City, got a notification on my phone from Burnley FC, "The Clarets one down at half time", when on Amazon it was still only the 41st minute.

I noticed Sky Sports on my iPad was about a minute behind that on Sky Sports on TV. My wife wanted to watch something else on the TV.claretburns wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:08 amThe problem with Amazon, well the last round of games in December, is that the games are 5 minutes behind real time, when we lost at home to City, got a notification on my phone from Burnley FC, "The Clarets one down at half time", when on Amazon it was still only the 41st minute.
Re: Amazon Prime - Burnley match
Has the stream quality improved on Amazon? The last game I watched on it was worse than one of those dodgy sites. Kept buffering. It's not my internet speed as I have no problem watching NowTV, Netflix etc on the TV or Laptop.

If you have a PS/Xbox you can use the Amazon Prime app. A code pops up which you enter in your Amazon account and voila.

An internet service possibly being swamped as they were streaming every match but could also be down to your bb speed?claretburns wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:08 amThe problem with Amazon, well the last round of games in December, is that the games are 5 minutes behind real time, when we lost at home to City, got a notification on my phone from Burnley FC, "The Clarets one down at half time", when on Amazon it was still only the 41st minute.

If you have a smart TV. Go to "Prime TV" on the space bar, open up" to browse", go the PL tab, open up for match on from 7.30pm. No charge.
Even a totally technical illeterate like me managed it first time.

Re: Amazon Prime - Burnley match
I think I'll listen to it on 5Live.
Re: Amazon Prime - Burnley match
Really? Whenever I have 5live on and they are commentating on a game they spend at least half the time talking about other stuff.

No mate, a few mates still paying £100+ though
I took all sports off, and my bill is down at £50 now.
Soon as I'm.out of contract from my other packages I'll shop around for the best deal on basic TV and broadband packages.

Re: Amazon Prime - Burnley match
The only time I ever listen to a 5Live commentary is on the car radio on the way back from a Burnley game.
I'll give it a try anyway. If I don't like it I'll watch on Amazon, although tablet or laptop is nowhere near as good as television.

do I have to download it? - I have a smart TV with the space bar
Re: Amazon Prime - Burnley match
On my smart TV, if I connect it to the internet, I can get Amazon's Prime Video via the Apps button on my remote.
I click on this and ignore the sign up button and go straight to 'No thanks, start browsing' - this may work for me because I'm already signed up on Amazon on my PC.
I then get options including 'Premier League Home Page' and there it is - Palace vs Burnley from 1930!
I've not connected to the internet before on the TV as I have a good screen for my PC but I checked out some Youtube stuff and the quality is good. Let's hope it's like that tonight.

I was impressed with Prime when they broadcast those games last December. I hope it's in 4K like those previous games.

Tim and I making it two from three on the project restart games.
Those key worker tickets have been a godsend.
Palace usually have a great backing so no home advantage today.

Re: Amazon Prime - Burnley match
claretblue, Prime Video is what you need. If you go to Amazon Prime on your smart TV and ignore the "log in" push, then it will take you through to the homepage for Amazon Prime video and you'll see us advertised, just click on it after 19:30 and it should start for you.claretblue wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 1:42 pmI’m also TTI...but can’t find ‘prime tv’

I actually quite enjoyed the coverage. Picture was spot on. I even quite liked Jon Champion and Ally McCoist. It felt a bit like I was watching France 98 on ITV. Just needed to cut back to Robbie Earle and Barry Venison in the studio.
