Palace versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
It's all on Dwight creatively but then that has been roughly the case for last 18 months anyway. Just please let this one be a better performance than our last trip to Selhurst Park

We must be the only club in the world that accumulated more injuries during the break than before we went in. The injuries suffered before the break have not progressed, in fact they have gone backwards.

Hope Westwood avoids a yellow tonight, or that's another one missing for the next 2 games.

Could be worse as be either Villa or Watford who have six fit strikers each and none of them can score .Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 7:30 pmPremier League team with one fit striker, glad we are safe !!

Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Evening, All.
It's grey. Wet. Windy. And it's Monday.
We've very few spare players and the games are coming thick and fast.
Do we care?
Nope.
We don't give a bugger.
3 pts from the Palace northbound very soon.
COME ON UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU CLARETS!!

IF we were to win tonight we would go into 8th place which is looking very likely to qualify for Europe !!

Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus Mighty Clarets
I agree shame on SD for keeping us in the PL for another year, is that 4 successive seasons at the top level, soon to be 5. How embarrassing is that.
Yes we've had players who haven't worked out, every club has them, Bournemouth have Ibe & Solanke, Newcastle have Joelinton, Southampton have Che Adams, Villa have plenty of costly failures, and West Ham have Haller, compared to those signings Gibson is a dip in the ocean, and as long as we can get rid of him this summer and recoup most of our outlay, there's not too much damage done.

Given the predicament we're in, I can see Long, Thompson, Dunne and Goodridge getting some game time. Nothing to lose tonight.

Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
I'm so ****** off at the usual, well it was only a knock, we are hopeful he'll be right for the next game, only to see them disappear for 6 weeks.
If Jay is injured, fair enough, but it's the same bloody story every sodding time. Can anyone remember a player who had a knock, who actually played the next game.
We must be the only team in the league that came out of lockdown with more injuries than we went in with. It's no wonder the bench is thread bare, too many of them are wrapped up in cotton wool.
I'm not asking for players to go through the pain barrier, for their sake as well as ours, we need them to recover properly. But, if they are injured, just say they are injured. I've never known twinges to wipe out players like it does at Barnfield. Zaha had a knock, we're all rubbing our hands at not facing him, but no he's ok. Other teams players seem to recover no problem, ours are always sidelined for ages.
Rant over.
We are on a wing and a prayer tonight, after I've felt fairly confident all day. If we get anything out of this, the lads available will have played out of their skin.
Come on Burnley

Don't think so. I think Watford was the last game for that. (Although looking at the posts above, it looks like I might be wrong.)

Long to come on last 5 and score a header from corner together us a 1 0 win.
Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Anyone heard what's up with Lowton? Our bench is starting to look a bit embarrassing.
Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Shop window time for McNeil - especially for Palace to see

Don't think I said that. Any blame being put on MG has been initiated by SD not the supporters
Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Glen Little on Radio Lancs referring to Burnley as 'we'. As in he's one of us. He started off at Palace. Talking about Burnley after the Chelsea defeat and he says 'Don't worry, we'll be all alright', Super Glen! Always a Claret.

Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Tonight's Westwood's last game walking a tightrope, so let's hope he comes through without picking up a booking, we're thin enough on the ground as it is.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 7:38 pmDon't think so. Is Lowton injured? or is Sean just giving him a breather? anyway we've got Bards to call on, so we might as well make use of him.

Worst possible thing for us would be to qualify for Europe. Supporters unlikely to be able to attend, plus pressure on a minimal squad, what would be the point?

Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Lowton out with stress fracture. Could be out for season.

Plenty of channels showing the game take you pick.

We’ve got this in the bag. Palace aren’t up for it at all
Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Not that we need to worry about it but the qualifiers are only 1 legged affairs now, so only an extra 3 games to get to group stage. Plus by the time the group stages started fans may be allowed back.Pimlico_Claret wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 8:02 pmWorst possible thing for us would be to qualify for Europe. Re: Woy's Pal Arse versus MIGHTY CLARETS
18 months ago McNeil was brought in because of injuries. It’s ironic that injuries will allow us to see his strongest position... and also exit for about £100M in the summer
