What a difference a week makes.
Get in. I love that man. Brave header. Well deserved. And who better to get it?!

In years to come he'll be fondly , and quite rightly, spoke about as the rock solid , quiet man, that made all around him look better , because of his presence. (See Keane, Heaton , Pope and Tarkowski)

Re: Ben Mee
Worth his weight in gold to our club. Flawless performance tonight and his passing was simple but effective.

Re: Ben Mee
WHAT A HEADER !
and despite what some commentators said about the keeper being at fault, I disagree.
the keeper had barely a millisecond to react because his own defenders blocked his view. Mee's position was incredible, and it was a phenomenal goal from that distance.

Current price of gold is £46.36 per gram.ClaretLoup wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 10:31 pmWorth his weight in gold to our club. Flawless performance tonight and his passing was simple but effective.
Ben Mee apparently weighs 74kg.
His weight in gold is £3.4 million.
Gold would be more valuable if it was worth its weight of Ben Mee.

Re: Ben Mee
I was speaking about him on the England thread the other day, about how he's not good enough with the ball for international football.
But, England one nil up in a World Cup Final with 15 minutes to go, and you want to bring on an extra defender to hold out........ Sir Ben of Mee is the answer.

Re: Ben Mee
mee's been good enough for england for ages, but they always choose the flash harry clubs players first.
Heaton was about a thousand times the keeper pickford was, but thats football, its also why england never win anything.

And also why I could not care less about England.
Re: Ben Mee
With headers like that, bring him on at 0-0 so he can make it 1-0 and then defend the lead. Better still, pick him in the starting XI.Bin Ont Turf wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 11:04 pmI was speaking about him on the England thread the other day, about how he's not good enough with the ball for international football.

(His header against Reading was even better, though.)

Re: Ben Mee
I think our players led by Ben Mee have answered unfair racist slurs directed at our club in the best possible way. Proud to be Burnley
Re: Ben Mee
Just watched his interview on Clarets Player. He’s revealed his little girl was born 16 weeks early and is now 6 weeks old. All credit to him for going out and performing - it is such a tough time to get on with your day job.
Top professional and we are so lucky to have him. Best wishes to his little girl ,himself and his family.

Re: Ben Mee
well done Ben, on all fronts. Magnificent .
Re: Ben Mee
Was really annoyed missing the first half as the TV here had Barcelona playing CP instead of Burnley, CP all over the place chasing shadows, loved it

Re: Ben Mee
Just wondering. I wonder if all this fantastic publicity Ben has had recently will influence Sarfgate to give him a game at last?
I can't think of anyone more deserving, as his football is speaking as loudly as his interviews.

Fantastic flying header.
Just a shame he couldn't celebrate that goal in front of a crowd.
