More impressive is the high claims stats. He is head and shoulders above 2nd place. That is just so important to a team like ours which often has periods of having to defend against sustained pressure.

England's no 1.

(Although his handling has not been as silky these last 2 matches)

Pope is also fifth in the goals conceded list:

And whose still top of the offsides!!!

Look at those of Terence Trent Alexander-Arnold. He's having a good season.

No suprise to see Mee and Tarks near the top of blocks, clearances and headed clearances. Weirdly they only appear as numbers 30 odd and 60 odd for tackles.
I think it was Maldini who once said a defender shouldn't have to tackle, if you have to make a tackle you've done something wrong. Perhaps it highlights how good they are positionally.

Without that ridiculous pen at Wolves it would be 14.

Bang on, correct.

Claiming crosses is undervalued and as you say, relieves the pressure. That is a massive difference to Joe Hart. I didn't mind Joe and thought he did relatively well for us but what you don't see is how many more goals we would've kept out if he had claimed more crosses. You could see the difference when Heaton took over but Nick is on a different level to them both with crosses.

I agree he has dropped a couple of crosses this last couple of games but a keeper coming for crosses you have confidence in is a godsend to a back 4. Similarly if you’re a winger and thinking of floating a cross in and you know the keeper comes for everything I think it discourages you to throw it in
