I wouldn't disagree with that - thankfully he's going to be ok

Literally no excuse for anyone ever to leave the house armed with one.

Unfortunately all the kids today carry them...madness so easy to ruin your own life and someone elses by carrying and using a knife,a sad sign of the times we live in.

A former pupil at my Primary School in Leeds. I taught his brother. Gutted. Glad he’s stable.

The media already covering up the question of why is a Championship player out in one of the roughest council estates in the country in a city nowhere near where he plays or is from in the evening.

irrelevant, the media should be focusing on why why anyone from anywhere cannot walk through any part of this country without the risk of being stabbed.

Ha.. media cover up?! About a 2nd tier footballer.. why would anyone be arsed ‘covering up’ anything about that?

Anyway, I don’t know if you class Sky Sports as media, but they’ve already said he lives on Merseyside and a relative rang him for a lift. Got attacked by someone else when he got out the car. Then end.

When I used to work in Manchester, the young lads all had stories about which areas they couldn't walk in. Estates they would be instantly attacked in despite not being part of any gang, just for growing up in a different one.

Certainly an eye opener.

That should be time served as well. Also, knife possession in a public place, without good reason like work etc, should carry much, much harsher sentencing. You only have to look on the L.E.T site to see some of the 'tools' the drug gangs carry, yet they get a slap on the wrist. I'm absolutely sick of it and I dare say that the vast majority of the public are too.

Five years for possession as a starting point without the ifs or buts (also known a sob stories). Then lot's of education in secondary schools. For example: Knife Possession = Young Offenders Institution or Jail.

At least Cummings had more sense than go to Toxteth in a footballers car!
He shouldn’t have been in Liverpool, then he travels somewhere else. Then finally he wants people to get in his car.

As this plonker never heard of Covid?

Derby players really should all be banned from driving!

This is not a racist comment but a genuine question. I wonder what colour his attacker was. If he was white then the BLM movement will be all over it claiming another example of racism.

But what if his attacker was black. How will they try and defend it when it's one of their own. Surely won't do their cause any good.

Either way it's a heinous crime of the worst order.
