Any News On Jack Cork

Post by warksclaret » Mon Jun 29, 2020 11:30 pm

Any news on Jack-he looked in pain with his ankle. Seems to like these dry pitches and have been impressed with his retention, control and passing in the last 3 games. As we know he can get bullied and knocked off the ball but I thought he had a great game

Cork, Jay, Ashley BNarnes, Chris Wood, JBG, Brady all injured . I have never know that so bad, particularly with the recent departures

Do wonder if Dyche is being extra cautious to make a point. Hope Jack’s was just a knock and some of the others are ready for Sunday.

Rolled his ankle over so it'll be on ice and we won't know till the morning.

Have to keep the swelling down overnight and hope for the best.

Fingers crossed. He was playing well.

If it’s ankle - break, bruise or ligaments he won’t play for a while now.

Not so sure. He looked fairly mortified about it as if he knew that he would miss the rest of this ‘mini’ season which has, I must admit, been really entertaining up to now. Just hope that we can get through it. Just think. In this position, with a totally fit squad, we should have quite easily qualified for Europe, looking at the remaining fixtures. But, with the absentees, it might just prove a little difficult. We are running out of players in a spectacular fashion.

Others need to get their backsides fit now.

his fast accurate passing in 1st half was instrumental in us bossing the game up to half-time!

Hope he recovers to play next Sunday

A slight tweak, he'll be out until 2022

Seriously it didn't look good. I expect Brownhill to fill his slot on Sunday, which is what I believe he was bought to do. Who gets the Brownhill slot

I think I heard Dyche say some on the physio bed might make it for Sunday. Lets just hope Jay Rod and JBG are those in question and Brownhill move in to CM, even though he looks accomplished on the right wing and suits our game. If not then Jay Rod back in and either Dwight or Brownhill in either positions of RM/CM, Pieters still on the left.

Can’t see that as none of them made the bench last night, at least not in the starting eleven.

Alternatively. They weren't worth risking yet. Give them another six days or R&R or work on the grass. Not worth prolonging their injuries by introducing them for one game at the expense of losing them for the remaining six.

Well perhaps he didn’t wanna risk Jay Rod and lose him rest of season ,as for the rest I’d be pleased yet v suprised if JBG alone makes it . We literally are down to 11 fit players and Cork looked in pain .

Eleven fit players and a performance like that. Doesn't suggest unrest in the camp to me.

Hopefully, any lingering problems will be sorted out over a cup of tea and an omlette and then we can all look forward to another season in the PL with confidence.

If he did roll on his ankle I'd be very surprised if he's back for at least 3 or 4 games. I went over on my ankle just into lockdown and it's still causing issues now 3 months later.

No offence, Belial, but I think a highly - tuned, highly - trained athlete's ankle will be a bit more resilient than yours or mine.

Amazing fitness record for us so far, in nearly 3 seasons I can't recall him being injured and he's played just about every minute of every league game.

How do you know I'm not a highly trained athlete...😉

Bones and ligaments won't heal twice as fast because they are trained

If it's only broken, he'll be fine.

Tactics totally changed last night due to injuries. Every credit to those players, especially Jack Cork, who showed their skills with the ball being passed on the deck

True enough but I suspect his ligaments are much less likely to be as easily damaged as ours. Any rehab regime will be a little more scientific than ours, too.

Fingers crossed, we'll see.
