Perfect timing for taking over next week when Dyche goes.

Re: Alan Pardew
"wouldve ended today" is more like it. Presumably he got a year or two pay off to enable him to take the other jobs hes done.
Still bloomin' hilarious though, not one of Ashley's greatest decisions.

Re: Alan Pardew
He's most recently been at Den Haag where they did a big banner of him and Powell as Ghostbusters (I'm not quite sure why)
However, as may be expected it all went wrong there with notable highlights being a group of fans gatecrashing training and giving them some tactical advice.
They were in the relegation zone when the season was cancelled with no relegation and there were rumours that Pardew earned a €100k staying up bonus due to this (although he denies it). Unsurprisingly they've opted not to renew his contract.

Think I read an article a bit back about Pardew getting the club out of the slime so they became the ghostbusters

The guy to the right of the ghost looks like George Floyd.
Re: Alan Pardew
Perhaps his contract said he would be paid until he took up another role in the prem or Football League...so he went abroad.

Re: Alan Pardew
The story I heard about the length of Pardew's contract was that it would take him 8 years to pay off his gambling debts to Ashley. They are reputably extremely heavy gamblers.
Re: Alan Pardew
It was a decent decision by fat Mike as it turned out. If you remember, crystal Palace paid Newcastle 5 million pounds (I think it was) to get him released from his Newcastle contract.

For a manager who has had such success I'm always amazed how Alan has managed to remain so modest.

Re: Alan Pardew
Didn't he once say he wouldn't manage us? Bet he'd jump at the chance now.

Re: Alan Pardew
I recall him being a guest pundit during a Live match on Sky suggesting that Burnley didn't really have the facilities to be a PL club commenting on how small the away teams dressing room was.
Couldn't envisage him taking a big step down to manage Burnley.
The away dressing room was probably too small for his head to fit in.

Re: Alan Pardew
He can jump as much as wishes, surely our board aren't that daft, his record is average at best, and he brings too much baggage for my liking. Just check out his Wiki page for confirmation of that.
