Every chance of them all being available this weekend but I believe Cork is a doubt. Just as long as he’s not touch and go. :D

It'll be interesting to see who's upfront. I hope Vydra gets more chances and keeps his shirt.

Cork not training shouldn't be taken too seriously at this stage. That's standard practice for a sprain. He might make it for the wknd but if we're being sensible he won't be risked.

If Jay is fit we will probably go 4411. Keeping Pieters out left Browhall right, with McNeil and Westwood centre midfield

Even if a couple of that quartet are fit it'll be a morale boost to the squad, Jay Rod and Wood especially will offer us options up top, i actually forgot about Brady and JBG, we see them so rarely. No mention of Barnes, Cork or Lowton, so i guess we can count them out for the weekend. At least our bench should be stronger.

If Cork isn't fit then I would expect JBG to come in on the right with Brownhill moving into the centre.

If 1 forward recovers then I would expect them to start with Vydra having a rest on the bench, if 2 recover then McNiel back to the left and Vydra getting that well earned rest back on the bench

One forward back in to partner Vydra, probably Jay. Pieters into centre mid alongside Westwood, I think he could comfortably play there. Dwight back onto the left and Brownhill stays put where he's played really well would be my choice. This leaves maybe Wood, JBG and Brady to boost a depleted bench.

We won't be seeing Lowton again this season, and he must be a serious doubt for the beginning of next season.
Barnes is best given more time, and of course you wouldn't expect Cork to be training for a few more days even if he hopes to play on Sunday.

Usually the press conference for a Sunday game is on the Friday but currently it’s anyone’s guess.

Unfortunately, there is a video on Instagram of Cork's kids trying his crutches out. Might be precautionary but doesn't look too promising.

If Cork is out would prefer Brownhill with Westwood

McNeil and Westwodd feels very lightweight and Sheffield are are physical unit

Thats an interesting observation. I actually thought McNeil had a lot of steel about him against Palace, he was tough and strong, more so than Brownhill, IMO of course :)

Guessing we will see brownhill and Westwood in the middle, Dwight left, JBG/Brady right, Vydra and one of the strikers up top. Teams starting to look good. I like brownhill cm a lot.

If Wood and Rodriguez are both fit could possibly try Jay on the right with Wood and Vydra up front. It's not ideal but might be better than having Brady or Gudmundsson on the right, playing their first game back after a long layoff.

All four seem to be moving freely with no sign of any discomfort. At least the bench but possibly they will be used so others can rest on the comfy seats. Especially as we will, probably, be mathematically safe by Kick-off time.

He's sprained his ankle. The treatment is to rest it, hence crutches.

My only change for Sunday's game would be Rodriguez for Cork (assuming he doesn't make it). If Wood, Brady & JBG are passed as being ready again, add them to the bench and gradually bring them up to speed in the last 10 mins of games.

With the overlapping centre backs system that Shef Utd play, we would suit how we set up against Crystal Palace to be honest.

A mate of mine who is a Chester fan still raves about his dad, Matty.

I never saw him play but he sounds like the kind of lower league player that us supporters take to because you could see the effort and exertion spilling from his veins. He was also not without a good deal of talent but the effort and workrate make Dwight sound like a chip off the old block.

With Wood, JBG and Brady having no match time in months, SD may decide to start them on the bench.
If Jay is back ready, then McNeil can go central midfield, with Jay/Vydra back as a partnership.

Didn't know this but yes you are quite correct....
From Dwights Dads wiki page...

In pre-season, Matthew McNeil was then scouted by Burnley and Crewe after a fine midfield display against a strong Manchester City side. He was offered a week trial at Burnley in which he completed, and then he was asked to stay longer because Burnley had liked what they had seen. He stayed for a total of three weeks, playing in the reserve league before an injury brought the trial to an end.

For now, how long they'll stay fit is up for debate with their injury histories. Shame because when fit and firing they're both a big asset to us. The problem is they're rarely fit and firing.

Dont jinx it, there's 2 more days training left for them to navigate yet.
Then there's the drive in Sunday, they're both capable of doing a hammy getting out of the car outside the ground.

So judging by that we can expect Brady, Cork, JBG and Jay to be on the bench, forget the others for Sunday anyway.

If those 4 are on the bench, then a youngster will need to come in? As it'll be the same 11 but minus Cork.

Jay is the one with more match fitness, so if he can start, McNeil could drop back to replace Cork in central midfield, and Jay will come in and partner Vydra.

Crikey! are we really that short, i knew it was bad, but i didn't realise how bad, this just highlights how much we need at least 1 cm in the next window, it's getting back to a Marney situation with our cm's, it really is a square peg in a round hole time, thankfully Sheff Utd aren't any better off.

If Jay's even 60/70% he has to play, he's the one in form, and he could potentially be a matchwinner,

Brady & JBG are becoming liabilities now, their injury records are getting beyond a joke, and yet we're stuck with both for another 12 months, the sooner this pair of wage stealers are off our books the better, it was bad enough we carried Defour for over a year, but at least when he played you knew he'd make a difference, these 2 are as much use as a chocolate teapot.

Why on earth did we extend Brady's contract? that one baffles me, this is annoying when we're supposed to be watching the pennies, time to be ruthless, cut out the deadwood, some have already gone, Hart, Legzdins, Lennon, and presumably Gibson hopefully, Drinkwater was only here on loan so easy enough to ship him out again.

We're not a charity, and we don't owe Brady anything, indeed you could argue he's the one who owes BFC, we stuck by him when he was out long-term, and as soon as he signs a contract extension, lo and behold he's out injured AGAIN, this guy's taking us for a ride.

Doesn't sound too promising. Going off those comments JBG and Jay have a chance the rest are out.
