Re: Lennon tweet
To coin a phrase from the film Zulu.... don't leave we need you, damn you we need you (or something like that).

Re: Lennon tweet
certainly a much better goodbye than the one from JH IMO on the face of it and could be reading to much in to JH's version.

He always gave it his all, as did JH, and I wish them both all the best in whatever comes next.

Didn’t see owt wrong with JHs. The “little club” to be was just used to empathise what an achievement it was to finish 7th. Don’t forget they’ll be lots of his followers who aren’t Burnley fans but fans from ROI etc that will think “finishing 7th” isn’t that great.

Re: Lennon tweet
I think he was under utilised, I read the Everton forums and they were sorry to lose him as he always gave 100%. Perhaps, like Vydra he could have given us more if given the opportunities but it's now all water under the bridge. I wish him well.
Re: Lennon tweet

There was nothing wrong with what Jeff said but, this thread is about Aaron Lennon.
All the best Aaron. Thank you for your efforts in a Claret shirt

Re: Lennon tweet
Shame we never used him more as he never got chance to get a rhythm going ,he’s still very quick and with service ( we gave him little and SD didn’t want him to wide) he could get 6-10 goals at any level
Re: Lennon tweet
You did a good job for us Aaron, good luck for the future and thanks for not making us all paranoid with your leaving message.
Re: Lennon tweet
Remember that the player will spend much less time drafting such a message, than some fans will spend analysing it for its nuance.
I'm more concerned with AL's strange use of the double comma ,,and spacing ,, than any hidden message.

Re: Lennon tweet
He'll probably go somewhere and do well in a more attacking role - still got it.

Great player in his pomp. Decent for us.AlargeClaret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 10:52 amShame we never used him more as he never got chance to get a rhythm going ,he’s still very quick and with service ( we gave him little and SD didn’t want him to wide) he could get 6-10 goals at any level
But he’s never get ten goals though. He’s never scored 6 in a season. Even at spurs.

Re: Lennon tweet
He's done a good job for us and said a lot of good things about our squad/club when interviewed.
He's not been a major cog in the works but always done what the manager asked him to do when he's started/ come on. He's been a good team man to have around.
Best wishes to him in whatever he does next in his career and life.

Re: Lennon tweet
His involvement in the goal in that dreadful game at Bournemouth proved vital. For both sides.
