Ruby claret

Post by redwasp » Fri Jul 03, 2020 2:03 pm

In the Burnley Express today Ruby clarets limited have applied for a drinks Licence for premises known as Ruby & clarets bar 55 Yorkshire Street Burnley. I don't get down that way much now which bar is this? Also noticed that the Park View doesn't open 'til Monday, I presume this is to stop people being around the ground on Sunday when the game is on.

Google Maps show me 55 Yorkshire Street as the old ladbrokes shop across the road from Brickies.

I read somewhere that the Brickmakers is closed down permanently - not sure if it is correct?

It was originally the Footballers Arms. I can remember drinking Massey's Bitter in there!

If I'd had any say in the matter Bfc that could well have been case. Unfortunately the kids didn't take any notice of my suggestions.
