Re: Junior Stanislas
Stats show he's not really any better than what we've got.
If we want to improve then it wouldn't make sense signing him.

Are you his agent? Have you still got Daniel Farke ‘s number. He’s looking for players for next seasoncricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 8:13 pmI’d have him on the wing ahead of Brady or jbg.

Re: Junior Stanislas
for what it is worth I think Junior has definitely improved since he left us. However, I wouldn't want him back. Would be a backwards step but he is a very decent player these days.

Rotating for the physio room ?cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 4:35 pmDon’t dispute we need someone who plays more than they do. But I’ve could do worse than having jbg and Stanislas rotating.
Stanislas has definitely been happier since leaving us and has looked a lot better player. There was a period I remember when he was up there with being there best player - but unfortunately he kept on getting hamstring problems and since then other injuries too.
He showed glimpses of really quality for us but seems like a case of a player that when happy and confident playing a lot better and he was probably neither whilst at Burnley.
The ship has now sailed - we need fit players.
Re: Junior Stanislas
A no from me. If we're looking at wingers at teams about to be relegated. Lewis at Norwich looks a prospect. Needs to improve on his decision making and tracking back but has pace and whipped in some lovely crosses yesterday. Has potential Buenida looks a player too.

Not a Dyche 100 per center. On that basis, I'M OUTClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 4:27 pmTotally agree with Rowls about him being up for some games and not others.

Re: Junior Stanislas
I don't want to burst your bubble, but Lewis is contracted until 2023, so we've no chance of landing him.BenWickes wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 9:08 amA no from me. And Buendia's tied down until 2024. so if he goes this summer it'll be for big bucks, Norwich have been clever in that sense, their making sure that if their gems are sold they don't go on the cheap.
If we're looking for bargains, we need to be scouting players in the final year of their contracts, as that's where the value will lie.
Re: Junior Stanislas
Out of interest what do you think we would have to pay for Buendia?

Re: Junior Stanislas
In my opinion Buendia will go this summer for a nice fee given Norwich signed him for just £1.5m - I’d say between £12-£16m.

Re: Junior Stanislas
Buendia will go for between 15-20m, and if Norwich have any nous, they'll insert a sell-on clause, he could be a real top player in a couple of years, he's one of the few Norwich players who hasn't looked out of his depth in this league.
Re: Junior Stanislas
Probably not. Lovely footballer, two good feet but has an ongoing problem with hamstrings. However, I love watching him play, the way he moves, the eye he has, the accuracy of his passing. Good player.

Re: Junior Stanislas
For all the shouting down of Stanislas it’s quite quiet on realistic alternatives. No surprise though. Some criticising Stanislas wouldn’t have traore
Cracking goal from him yesterday too.

Re: Junior Stanislas
I'd have Traore now he's settled down and grown into English football.
He looked a complete waste of a wage when he first rocked up and if I remember rightly he was on close to £60k and still got a pay rise when his club got relegated.
Everyone who dismissed him then was right with that opinion he was that bad and lightweight.

Maybe we could do a double swoop for him and Messi with the rumours of LM refusing to sign a new contract ?GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 11:26 amI'd have Traore now he's settled down and grown into English football.
