Matty Cash
Our wingback solution?
Re: Matty Cash
How much?
Also people don't like cash much these days ... he would be better off changing his name to Matty Chip'n'pin

Re: Matty Cash
Fraid your wrong he signed a new deal back in the Autumn of 2019.
Nottingham Forest midfielder Matty Cash has signed a new three-and-a-half year contract.
The deal ties him to the City Ground until the summer of 2023.
So whoever wants to prise him away from the The City Ground, will have to stump up big money.
Any excuse to link to this i'll take though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9o0rAvZtM7w

Wouldn't mind his teammate Joe Lolley, plays on the right and cuts in with a great left foot on him.

Pretty sure there was a big fee offered for him around £18m in January for him from West Ham, I may be mistaken but I’m fairly sure it was him.
Also I’d take him as our new right back

Walk away as fast as we can. It’s Forest who don’t sell us players.
We must of done something real bad after the David Johnson loan.

Re: Matty Cash
There's no way we're going to splash out £20m or so on a right back, if Forest don't come up, I've no doubt others will be eyeing him up as a potential signing, but we're not in that market, especially in light of the covid impact, i do agree we need to be searching for a younger right back, as both Bardsley & Lowton are ooc next year, but Matty Cash won't be signing for us that's for sure, it wouldn't surprise if West Ham were sniffing around him, Zabaleta is approaching the end of his career, and they'll definitely need a replacement for next season, if Forest don't make it to the promised land, he deserves a go at proving himself at this level.Hedontplayforyou wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 8:36 pmPretty sure there was a big fee offered for him around £18m in January for him from West Ham, I may be mistaken but I’m fairly sure it was him.

Linked with him today, seen a report that suggests we've had an offer turned down for him although I'm not sure of it being a reliable source.

Re: Matty Cash
I work with a Forest STH who rates Cash very highly.
Not saying there’s anything in it at all as I don’t know, but I always find these things a little more believable when they break at the selling clubs end, and this has done. Forest fans believe we offered £15m and they want 20.
It sounds nothing like us to be offering £15m as an opening gambit but perhaps this has been rumbling a while and it’s the first of our bids that has got out?

Re: Matty Cash
Seems plausible given that Dyche and Woan were at Forest just before the hilarious collapse.
Don't have any mates in the know at Forest anymore sadly so only know what I read on these speculation sites.

It also sounds nothing like us to be bidding on players before the last week of the transfer window.jedi_master wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 4:51 pmI work with a Forest STH who rates Cash very highly.

Decent enough player by the looks, we'll have to be careful dealing with Notts Forrest though after the Lansbury debacle.

Let me get this right, Burnley are hoping to sign a 3rd right back, the first week of the window, and figures of 15-20m are being quoted.
I'm sorry but
This is so un Burnley like I cant believe even the click bait sites have dared suggest it, and theyll post any old nonsense.

Re: Matty Cash
(1) There’s no order in which our targets become available- we take them as they come.
(2) Bardsley only has a 12 month contract and is approaching the end of his career.
(3) Lowton is also approaching 30/31 too.
(4) We have a history of giving players a decent amount of time to adapt to our demands/regime before they’re “first team ready”.
(5) It’s a sign of intent- perhaps Sean Dyche has demanded quick signings and Mike Garlick knows this is the only way to keep the best manager in our modern history.
I’m certainly not discounting this rumour just yet....

Re: Matty Cash
Does anyone deal in any sort of reality here? There is no chance we will offer anything over 10M AND Gibson. Him and 15M would equate to approx 25M in the real world. No way we would pay that for a RB. If we offer a player you can bet the cash amount will be a lot lower.

Re: Matty Cash
I don't think people are doubting we are after him. The sums we are quoted as offering are just wild fantasy. If by some remarkable chance they are true it would mark an incredible change in transfer policy from Garlick. Vydra or Lowton are possible makeweights. Forest fans are claiming they need a striker. However if we did use him as a sweetener i could imagine it would be him plus 7 or 8 million max...and that is at a push.BurnleyPaul wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 8:49 pm(1) There’s no order in which our targets become available- we take them as they come.

1. I doubt that, we will have priorities, we wouldn't for instance but a 5th striker just because they were available and we were interested 2 windows ago.BurnleyPaul wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 8:49 pm(1) There’s no order in which our targets become available- we take them as they come.

2. Agree, so doubt we will be spending 20m on a 3rd 1st week of the window.
3. Will do for back up for a year or 2 yet just like Bardsley
4. Again agree, but I doubt we would be buying a 20m right back to sit on the bench waiting for their chance, which could be 12 months away
5. That would go against everything we have ever done.

A decent right back who can get forward and create with a bit of pace is probably the last missing piece of the jigsaw.
Let's hope he is the one.

Al Hasawi long gone. Forest owned now by Marinakis who also owns Olympiacos. He was the bloke who tested positive for COVID-19 and forced the first English postponement between Man City and Arsenal because Arsenal had just played Olympiacos and had been in contact with him.

Gibson would fund it, everybody else appears to be happy & not surplus to SD requirements, any future signing will be generated by that sale.Somethingfishy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 8:57 pmI don't think people are doubting we are after him. (6) Both Bardsley and Lowton have had injury problems- can we risk being without somebody else who could step up/slot in if required? In Bardsley’s case a bad injury could be career ending at his age.
(7) Cash’s ability to play as fullback, wingback or right midfield makes him very useful to our model of players being able to adapt to a couple of positions.
(8) We only have SIX weeks really until the league re-starts....we can’t afford to let everybody else get a lead over us when we all know that we need to bring in a minimum of four, possibly even five, players and start integrating them into the squad!

Florist fans saying they are well stacked in the centre half position, but they would take Vydra.
Re: Matty Cash
Admittedly only from YouTube footage but he looks like he has potential. Not the finished article by any means. I like the fact he's prepared to drive into central midfield if he sees space open up for him. I think he's more likely to be one for the future and will have to bide his time. Which makes (if true) the £15 million more surprising. That said. It's a short window and we have to show some intent as mentioned above.
