MoyesBoyz versus MIGHTY CLARETS
MoyesBoyz versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Men against Moyes!
Our mighty heroes will be giving their all, once again, in our quest for a European place. Preferably Champions League !
Madge is firing on all cylinders.
Let's do the same.
Come on you Clarets.
By the way, I have just arrived in Spain and will be watching from my phone, if all goes well, as the WiFi sucks.
In other words, you won't hear from me (a good thing, I hear the echo) until half time.

Re: MoyesBoyz versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Currently 30 degrees here in SW Ontario, feeling like 38 with humidity factored in! We've been in this hot spell for the last 10 days or so, no relief in sight for the next 10 days.......it's really ugly hot I don't think we've seen any rain for a month or so, lawns are brown, baked out.
As for today's game, I'm not expecting much from the lads, they must be knackered! They've done a masterful job.
0-2 loss

Expecting a defeat, so if we lose i'll not be downhearted, however if we draw or win then it'll be a bonus, so it's a win-win for me.

19c in London (south west) at present, been raining most of the day. I don't think the lads will need their "drinks break" this evening.... except to update tactics a little, like we did last time out.exilecanada wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 4:48 pmCurrently 30 degrees here in SW Ontario, feeling like 38 with humidity factored in! that is looking a little stronger - with cover (however inexperienced) across the whole pitch

Bench is looking stronger, and good to see the young lads get some match day experience, even if they probably won't get onto the park.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 5:01 pmPope: Taylor, Tarkowski, Long, Bardsley; McNeil, Brownhill, Westwood, Pieters; Vydra, Rodriguez

Yarmolenko starts for Hammers
West Ham v Burnley (18:00 BST)
Winger Andriy Yarmolenko makes his first start for West Ham since the Premier League returned last month as David Moyes makes one change to the side that drew with Newcastle on Sunday.
Record signing Sebastien Haller is also named on the bench following a hip injury.
West Ham: Lukasz Fabianski, Ryan Fredericks, Aaron Cresswell, Declan Rice, Angelo Ogbonna, Issa Diop, Andriy Yarmolenko, Pablo Fornals, Tomas Soucek, Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio.
Boss Sean Dyche sticks with the same Burnley XI that drew 1-1 with Sheffield United last time out, with striker Chris Wood among the substitutes.
Burnley:Nick Pope, Phil Bardsley, Kevin Long, Charlie Taylor, James Tarkowski, Erik Pieters, Josh Brownhill, Dwight McNeil, Ashley Westwood, Jay Rodriguez, Matej Vydra.

Glad to see Vydra keep his place, as Wood looked very sluggish against Sheff U. A goal or two tonight will do him (And me.) a power of good.

Vydra has looked short of confidence in shooting, even before Sundays miss. His general play is fine but he desperately needs a goal.Gordaleman wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 5:09 pmGlad to see Vydra keep his place, as Wood looked very sluggish against Sheff U. Precisely. Let's hope he grabs at least one tonight then.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 5:11 pmVydra has looked short of confidence in shooting, even before Sundays miss. His general play is fine but he desperately needs a goal.
I just hope McNeil sticks to the left wing tonight. He's not half as influential on the right.

Re: MoyesBoyz versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Gudmundsson last started a game on October 5th 2019 and he has been injured for six months since the Villa game.
Plainly he is nowhere near match fit.

Absolutely the right starting 11 tonight and we have attacking options on the bench should we need them. Keep it tight and let's see what develops.

Didn't think that players we had loaned out like Glennon were allowed to play. Recent rule change?

I don't understand how Glennon and Benson can play as they both played League football this season, was it Grimsby?
Or are they allowed to sit on the bench as non-players?

Their deals were to season end. They are Clarets again. We did have to get PL dispensation to add them to the PL squad.JohnDearyMe wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 5:42 pmDidn't think that players we had loaned out like Glennon were allowed to play. Recent rule change?

It seems that the rule prohibiting loaned players from participating only extended up until July 1st when their loan spell were officially concluded,

I'd be giving them minutes in the second half, depending on how the game develops.
We're playing for a higher league position which means more prize money.

Commentary team has just made the point that Burnley have taken more points from the last eleven games than every other team in the PL except Liverpool.
Let's keep it that way after twelve.
C'mon you PL Clarets.

Yarmolenko read my earlier comment and cleared off to the right wing. Have him, Charlie.
