Taylor and Brownhill
Two great performances tonight, excellent work by Charlie down the left and JB gets better with each game.
Another brilliant win.

Re: Taylor and Brownhill
I liked Jeff Hendrick as a solid, versatile option for the squad, but I must say this.
Josh Brownhill is a far, far better footballer.

He's a massive upgrade on what we had going forward, his speed of feet is impressive as is his speed of thought - fitness levels are also superb.

Can see why we signed Brownhill. Very similar to Jeff but seems to be quicker and better with his feet.

Hope Mr Southgate is watching. Both could do a job certainly compared to someone like Declan Rice.

Maybe Hendrick left as he thought he had fallen down the pecking order after training with Brownhill though he needs to

Great team performance tonight and Brownhill and Taylor certainly put a shift in.
I want to give Vydra a mention too ... he ran his heart out and on another night would have got something.
He just looks to be trying too hard at the moment but doing a grand job

Re: Taylor and Brownhill
Was saying during the game how over-hyped Declan Rice is as a footballer. Our Josh head and shoulders above him tonight (although nearly got the head knocked off by that shot late on) !

Both were excellent. Good team performance and I thought Pieters( surprised had recovered from injury), more than played a part tonight, and at times was excellent defensively-should have scored too

Re: Taylor and Brownhill
Pope - excellent
Taylor likewise , but Brownhill stood out again , if he keeps this up during his tenure here we will have a real prayer on our hands, very impressed indeed.
With a few quality additions to this squad, where on earth could Dyche take us with the mentality of the squad as it stands - absolutey outstanding

Totally different player is brownhill to jeff.
We didnt buy home to replace jeff. Jeff would have play RM if he was here.
He was signed because we send drinkwater back

Re: Taylor and Brownhill
in terms of off the ball runs I think he is our best striker, so clever. Poor lad looked knackered when he came offBosscat wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 8:17 pmGreat team performance tonight and Brownhill and Taylor certainly put a shift in.

Re: Taylor and Brownhill
How much did we get Taylor for? 5 million? Could end up being one of Burnley's best ever bargain signings. Brownhill also looks an astute buy.
We may get some signings wrong which is to be expected with every club, but when we get them right, we get them very right.

Fair play to whoever scouted Josh. Now we need 2 or 3 more like that.

Re: Taylor and Brownhill
The credit would have to go to Martin Hodge for that one. We have been tracking Brownhill for quite a long time and over the years we have nibbled at him. Everything that could drop into place during the Winter window did drop into place, we were very lucky in that regard. Prior to the Winter window we were chasing everyone but Brownhill. It didn't hurt that his agent, Phil Ercolano, grew up in Burnley and saw us as the perfect fit for Josh.summitclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 9:00 pmFair play to whoever scouted Josh. Re: Taylor and Brownhill
You can build a quality Premier league side with quality Championship players. And they cost half the price.

There must be quite a few more bargains knocking around in the Champ this upcoming window with everything’s that’s gone on.

Only seen the goal.
Lovely passing football from Josh and Dwight, superb Taylor cross to Jays perfectly timed run

Re: Taylor and Brownhill
Taylor Brownhill and McNeil look so comfortable playing together. Exciting prospects for next season
Re: Taylor and Brownhill
I think we paid £5m for Taylor. Probably worth triple that now.
We could also say the same, even more so, about Pope, Tarks, Mee and McNeil
in terms of what they cost us and current worth if sold.
They're all playing well and Brownhill has shown enough over the last few games
to suggest he has the potential to make a more than decent contribution also.
