Some ofbthe usual long ball thugs posts etc but a number very complimentary about how we defended, amazed by Pope, rate Dyche and would want him also how organized we are and have them sussed.

Their hammers chat channel isn't full of the usual crap you cite on other teams. They have a good amount of criticism and sarcasm from how the club they love is run.

problem with some West Ham fans is they think they are a bigger club than they are and they have a god given right to be challenging for the CL places every season

I hope nobody is giving it the "we should be beating teams like Burnley" drivel.
I've already heard that once since the game finished (cant remember weather somebody on BT or elsewhere). It really gets my blood pressure up when supporters of teams like, say, WHU or Watford or BHA come out with that one.

From Goose on West Ham Online:
"Absolute lesson in how to manage a game at 1-0.
Amazing what a decent manager can do with a group of average players"
West Ham Online is usually a pretty unforgiving place, especially towards their owners and any of their players who're simply not up to Premier League standard or working hard enough. But quite a few will also give the opposition credit, too, especially when it's us.

Re: West Ham forum
I did chuckle at the we only played 3 days ago and the players were knackered. Moyes only made 2 subs
Imagine how our boys must feel. 1 sub, consistent line up, huge injury list.
Cockneys don't see that bit tho

Re: West Ham forum
Horrible, horrible, team Burnley. They’re like the Pulis era Stoke.
If Dyche comes to West Ham in the summer I’ll start following non-league. He’s Sullivan’s wet dream of a manager.
I cannot believe that any West Ham supporter would want Dyche here. Heavens save us. Surely if we do change manager we can do much, much better than him.

Some absolute gems on there:
“Burnley are a team who, like us,don’t play possession football. But unlike us, they do it out of choice.”
“I really envy people who have no interest in West Ham. 60 years I’ve been putting up with this ****.”
“Moyes really can’t rate Wilshere - the game was crying out for a player like him.”

Re: West Ham forum
Mike on Monday, Tactical Insight
This is the Burnley goal, this is the impenetrable Burnley wall ( drops a stack of prime steaks on the table ), and this is West Ham - starts flicking daffodil heads at the meat wall and watching them bounce off.
Hammers Chat is arguably the best fan based channel online. Gonzo and Geo do an superb job ( always complimentary towards us ), but I can't stop myself from thinking that Geo looks like a life model for lego. They can be a bit blinkered about the role their fans play, but they are usually very even handed when it comes to assessing matches and players.
West Ham Fans
We need to play more attractive attacking football, we should replace Moyes and spend big on exciting players.
The board respond by replacing Moyes with Pellegrini ( the man with a predictable single formation attacking ethos ) and spend a large amount of money on flashy players.
Things start to go pear shaped. We need to replace Pellegrini with a no frills manager who can keep us up and we should sign players with character.
The board respond by replacing Pellegrini with Moyes and start signing players from the Championship.
The fans go back to deriding the no frills approach of Moyes and his subborn one dimensional tactical outlook.
I'm certainly not a fan of the Dildo brothers and their coterie, but the West Ham fans should take a little bop on the chin for this years performance. Their owners have listened to them for once and they have done a reasonable job of trying to give the fans eaxactly what they were asking for.
But the West Ham fans are never to blame, even when they are distracting their team with their rabble rousing and losing 3 - 0 ( that was a good day for us )

Good one from Twitter
Wasn’t able to watch the game but didn’t I hear that we had a spell of play where we strung upto 30 passes together?
How dare we not allow the opposition play.Sean Dyche is just an anti-football manager. Keep him as far away from any decent club as possible. They just stop the opposition from playing football, cheat at every available opportunity and try and win with a goal on the break. Horrendous to watch...

Re: West Ham forum
Interesting some Hammers' fans were knocking us for playing anti-football, Pulis' esque football. Even the post match BBC interview, the commentator picked up on a passage of play where we knocked it around and played 30-40 passes. I didn't count but it was hardly anti-football.

Re: West Ham forum
West Ham are an awful club. Hope our win sends them down. Seen by the media as a big club and loved by them but have NEVER been champions of England. Only thing ‘big’ about them is their support due to geographical good fortune. Every time they need a manager top names are mentioned by the media. And as someone has pointed out about Wednesday the media always side with them unless playing a big six club. Really are an overblown set of major under-achievers who need to be out of the PL.
