Re: MOTD tonight
depends on whether arsenal ladies 3rd team had a match anytime in the last month, they would rather feature them or any london team before giving us a showing.

I suspect even West Ham will be on before us.Wile E Coyote wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 10:09 pmdepends on whether arsenal ladies 3rd team had a match anytime in the last month, they would rather feature them or any london team before giving us a showing.

Re: MOTD tonight
Given how City scored 5 and Liverpool 3 and Sheff Utd played Wolves then we will be last. People really need to get a grip at times.

Re: MOTD tonight
Yes i know we'll be last, although that might have been different if Sheff Utd hadn't scored their late winner, what i'm more interested in is how much credit we get if any, or will the pundits bang on about how unlucky West Ham were, and how Davie Moyes is hard done to with the packed fixture list, despite him being able to introduce a £45m signing from the bench.

I believe the BBC had technical issues at our game and are having to use the BT Sports commentary

Even the complainers can’t complain about that.

Loved the commentator's comment "Even the fake crowd thought that was in".

Re: MOTD tonight
its like a cosy smug clique of bloated egos and corporate tossers making sure they placate the london based wealthy arsenal and spurs fans irrespective of where they are in the league. as a claret I just know they are told to occasionally tickle us under the chin like an eager dog.

Re: MOTD tonight
Agreed, Shearer is often positive in his comments about us and Dyche though I'm surprised Wright is less so given his successful spell with us.

Re: MOTD tonight
Can't find fault with the pundits tonight, TBF Shearer's usually complimentary about us, and he rightly also praised Chris Wilder and Sheff Utd.
Looking at the Nketiah red card, Tarks can possibly count himself lucky he stayed on.

Re: MOTD tonight
From memory (which is shocking) Nketieh's was from the front, Tarks was from the side - please correct me if I'm wrong cause I genuinely can't be 100% sure
Re: MOTD tonight
And Nketieh’s was running in at speed whereas Tarly was stood still.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 12:26 amFrom memory (which is shocking) Nketieh's was from the front, Tarks was from the side - please correct me if I'm wrong cause I genuinely can't be 100% sure
Re: MOTD tonight
I don't think we could've had any complaints if he was sent off.
Re: MOTD tonight
Disagree. Tarkowski was not foot up dangerous, just a bit rough.

Re: MOTD tonight
If Tarks had been sent off I would have complained like hell that it was a very harsh decision. However, the Arsenal man being sent off was just a ridiculous decision.

Re: MOTD tonight
There are clear differences between Tarks challenge and Neketiahs. The ball being there to be won, the starting position of the challenger, the contact point of the challenge, the speed of the contact. I don't think it was worth any more than a yellow, and if Neketiah hadn't been red carded the night before it wouldn't have got a mention. That said, you would expect Moyes and the Hammers fans to complain about it, it's what they do after all, complain.

It didn’t even merit a mention in the MOTD analysis.Colburn_Claret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 10:29 amThere are clear differences between Tarks challenge and Neketiahs. Re: MOTD tonight
The big difference is that Tarkowski was still in control . He wasn't lunging in at pace with his weight behind his raised foot, his weight was clearly on his standing foot.
