Re: Today's Football 10-7-20
Huddersfield are in real danger of a 2nd successive relegation if they don't pull their finger out. Shows how rapidly fortunes can switch in this game.
Re: Today's Football 10-7-20
Beat me to it tiger 76, what happened to Hudders ?
Pity because it's a great local day out for us.

Re: Today's Football 10-7-20
If Luton hold on here, it'll make that scrap to avoid the drop very interesting, and Barnsley play Wigan ( potential 12 point deduction pending ) tomorrow !!

I don't think this game has the fake crowd noise on as didn't even notice a cheer when Luton scored.

Luton didn't bring any fake fans with them. They don't have any.

All their fake fans came in a fake taxi.

Re: Today's Football 10-7-20
Looks like the Hatters are taking the points home 2-0, i'd keep an eye on Birmingham to get dragged into the relegation scrap, their manager left the other day, and their form since returning from lockdown is terrible, but a Luton win here draws several teams back into the equation, and i certainly wouldn't be relying on Wigan's points deduction being upheld, that could go either way.

Huddersfield in real danger of a double relegation like Sunderland on this evidence, great result for Luton though

Bad result for Wigan if the 12 point deduction goes through. They're now bottom of the league

Fulham-Cardiff next, hoping for a Bluebirds win to dent Rovers play-off ambitions.

Re: Today's Football 10-7-20
Aleksandar Mitrović has been made captain of Fulham tonight against Cardiff City.
Just back in the side following 3 match suspension for thuggish forearm against Leeds.
can’t believe anyone would think it good to reward his indiscipline (could’ve cost Fulham automatic place) with the skippers armband.
That said I thought we should have been in for him when he left Newcastle!

Re: Today's Football 10-7-20
It was going downhill fast with Wagner. Too many shocking signings. And then just to make it even worse they appointed Siewert.

Scored, and immediately Cardiff hit the woodwork, then Fulham hit the woodwork, a crazy passage of play.

Re: Today's Football 10-7-20
I don't think we can rely on Cardiff to finish above our "friends down the road". Like most around them, they're not very good and they're far too inconsistent.
Any team in the top 10 that can get 3 wins out of 4 will probably end up in 6th.
Cardiff have Derby next up and then a tricky away game at Warnock's Middlesbrough.

Fulham had two pens turned down inside five seconds there.

2-0 to Fulham now and Cardiff don't look like scoring.

The only good thing about them winning, is hopefully WBA should be fully switched on tomorrow, when they visit Ewood.

Re: Today's Football 10-7-20
As I mentioned on another post, I have a small ( £ 18 ) investment with a well known " Turf Accountant " that will mature at £271, should West Brom join Rotherham and Plymouth in gaining promotion, so more than the usual local difficulties lead me to wish our good friends from the Hawthorns the best of luck for tomorrow !!

I'd spend it wisely on a decorator.... or even invite one for a cool drink now things are warming up...Clarets4me wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 11:00 pmAs I mentioned on another post, I have a small ( £ 18 ) investment with a well known " Turf Accountant " that will mature at £271, should West Brom join Rotherham and Plymouth in gaining promotion, so more than the usual local difficulties lead me to wish our good friends from the Hawthorns the best of luck for tomorrow !!

Wagner doing a decent job at Schalke.
Stranger still about Mitrovic captaincy is that they won all 3 games he was suspended.

Re: Today's Football 10-7-20
It's yet to be banked, but that's sound advice !
I'll be locking the Benedictine away before our usual decorator returns, that's for sure !
