If Chris and Kevin are both on the bench does that make the Bob Lord the Long side?

Re: Absolutely nothing to moan about!
all sounds good spijed,
and according to your list we should go into the first game full of optimism with big smiles on our faces.
The reality will be very different, there will be a million posts beforehand about the lack of midfielders, lack of decent strikers, ad infinitum.
Big debates about why we have spent next to nothing AGAIN!
arguements will abound continually about Lansbury.
The board will take huge amounts of stick being accused of not taking risks and being too frugal with our vast financial resources.
Boyd and others will be hammered just for breathing in and out.
It's a nice sentiment mate, but this is Burnley you are talking about, prepare for a moanathon of epic proportions before a ball is kicked in anger.

I think that we've all been around long enough to know that there's always something to moan about for some Burnley fans.
Some of them just aren't trying at the minute.

There's nothing to complain about and frankly I'm not happy about it.
There ought to be something meaty for us to feel aggrieved about each season.
As it is, we're reduced to started threads about random players who we might sign.

The job isn't done and if Sean isn't "moaning" and wanting improvements all over the club then he isn't doing his job properly.
I hope he has a to do list as long as his arm.

Don't fret. We will be able to moan about fixtures in just over a week.
And then the new away kit,and then the third kit.
And then the preseason, someone can bitch about the ticket office as a warm up for bitching about the ticket office when the season kicks off proper.

Hahaha. I also note how you dropped into the pessimistic side too Spijed. Back a few weeks ago when I saw yuo complaining that we weren't doing enough then I did raise an eyebrow as you're usually pretty positive (tbh, i like to be positive most of the time as well but it;s been difficult this last couple of months)

Re: Absolutely nothing to moan about!
I've always been positive towards the club, even with Brian Laws in charge. However, we've never had a better chance to progress as a club and yet we seem to be letting the opportunity slip from our grasp. That's why I, like many others, are getting frustrated at the situation.
Going into the summer debt free, I thought we'd be able to bring in a few good signings to give us a real chance of stopping up.

Yeah - me too. Same old same old though. I think it's a mental thing - we're so desperately trying to ensure we don't "fritter" the money away we have a real worry about spending any of it.

There are major doubts about the viability of the hyperloop transport system.
If we can't safely propel people to the speed of sound within a vacuum sealed tube for hundreds of miles then there's little hope for humanity.

Re: Absolutely nothing to moan about!
The first "January window" thread will be up and running on Thursday morning after Garlick has confirmed that "money will be available to spend in January", when once gain we can pontificate on the names of a midfielder and wide player that might improve our chance of staying up.
"we're so desperately trying to ensure we don't "fritter" the money away we have a real worry about spending any of it"
What you are describing is "a small club mentality."

Exactly. Never mind floodlights - why's it not in place for speedy round the ground movement? It's a pain having to walk and b the stairs (we should have a great glass elevator too).Rowls wrote:There are major doubts about the viability of the hyperloop transport system.

10th in the League
One of the best home records in the Premier league
Thinking we can win every home game
Able to break our transfer record without it breaking the bank
Team full of internationals
Bench consisting of a few million quid
Two games away from Wembley
Even with injuries we can put out a very good side.
Massive profits to be made when we sell some of our players
Re: Absolutely nothing to moan about!
The last month has been a real breakthrough month for the club and I think all us fans realise that on some level.
The homes games against Boro and Leicester sum up the last month perfectly. I'm pretty sure two years ago we would have somehow managed to lose both those games late on. However this year it's different. We've become very savvy at grinding out results. Add to this the good business in the transfer window and it's a terrific time to be a Claret.

Re: Absolutely nothing to moan about!
Was having a look at some old threads earlier. The one before Boro and Sunderland is interesting. Some posters are very confident, others fairly so and some kaking it, it was touted as the most make or break part of our season.
The threads on here since the Leicester game are on a different planet, we're almost too calm.
