Think our subs made a huge difference today. We certainly stretched them more after they came on.

Think they should start against Wolves.

How can anyone be disappointed after that performance and result. But I am just a tad disappointed that JBG's shot wasn't a few inches lower and then we really would have upset Klopp. I'm playing bowls tomorrow and my partner is a Liverpool fan, I could really have give him some stick if we'd won. One thing I know after today is that there isn't a chance in hell of SD going to Villa. Surely the board have to make transfer funds available now, imagine what we could do with a full squad and options on the bench.

I love the way the players never ever give up
The sweat and sheer hard work was amazing

I so wish JBG’s shot had gone in

Even the MOD pundits will have to give us credit for that performance but no doubt they will just say we were lucky that Pope had a great day.
MOTD have quite rightly been heaping praise on us recently, and I don't see why tonight would be any different.

Classic rope a dope. They punched themselves out and we came on like a supercharged juggernaut. We looked way more likely to win it in the last 15 than they did. Incredible performance. Incredible desire. Incredible team.

Don't think that was his complaint. It was something in the build up to Burnley's goal.
No it was the pen. That’s why he had Robertson there as his henchman

Robertson didn’t have the ball, and JBG cleared it - never a pen

The complaint was that the free kick that led, eventually, to Burnley's goal shouldn't have been given as there was no offside. As Macmanaman said though the ball was in open play after that and Liverpool had plenty of chances to clear it

Maybe if the Scottish tart had tried to get to the loose ball instead of looking for Gudmondsons legs he might have got to it first and it would have been a pen

I think bringing on Vydra and JBG made a difference in the way we played. And I have to say I'm impressed with Brownhill too, he plays with confidence and is only going to get better.

It appears we've upset the pie eating spreaders. Just read this cracker on the ' Red&White Kop' forum from one of their fans, 'Can't f*****g stand that prehistoric gang of c***s and their soulless ginger cavemen manager.'
Apparently we were expected to roll over and die.

Fantastico!!!

Supreme from our heroes.

Could have, should have...

Brilliant point - the only one taken from Anfield, this season.

Naughty Madge insists on giving her all too.

1. Jurgen, almost all the challenges you refer to were let go because they weren't fouls in this country.
2. The one challenge the ref didn't let go of was the best of the day; and that drew a harsh booking.
3. If the referee made such a clear and obvious error over the penalty incident then you should be blaming VAR for not picking up on it. Or maybe Jurgen the VAR officials shared the ref's opinion.
4. Jurgen you've won the Premier league, now STFU for once.

PS: Just be grateful that JBG's shot didn't go in. It would've ruined your whole season.

those of you saying about the JBG chance - had he scored there would have been zero chance it stood, he clearly fouls Allison from the corner with a really blatant push

Watch it again. Allison jumps into VVD. No interference from JBG that I could see.

Let’s hope that Liverpool win their last three matches and break the points record now. Would be great to be the answer to the question ’who were the only team to take points off Liverpool at Anfield in their record breaking 2019/20 championship winning season’.

I thought on first viewing it was VVD and Allison who collided. We really did a job on Allison all afternoon and VVD had to act as his minder at corners - Pieters especially was right in his face at set plays

Regards the penalty that never was makes you wonder what would have happened if The Kop had been baying for that decision - I'm sure the refs appreciate not being put under the extra pressure

What stood out for me was the intensity (especially after we scored) and the fitness levels - maybe Liverpool have taken their foot off the gas with the title wrapped up but despite only making 2 subs (very good decisions they were mind) we were the fitter and stronger team in the closing stages

If there's been one criticism of all of our PL campaigns before this one it's been the poor performances in the final few games - maybe it's the contract situations and/or the injuries which is giving the likes of Long, Brownhill and Vydra the chance to force their way into the manager's thinking but the manner in which we are ending the season is hugely impressive

Their last home game is Chelsea, so it's not a gimme that they'll win that. But it would be great to be the only team to go to Anfield and get a result.

Arsenal have Liverpool next Wednesday, so hopefully they will want to bounce back after today.

Draw tomorrow will keep both Spurs and Arsenal in our sights.

Wrong. They even failed to show the 'penalty' incident and just told everybody it should have been a penalty.

Are they blind, or just biased? He clearly got the ball first.

I do wonder sometimes why they bother commenting on stuff so blatantly wrong - he clearly gets the ball, it's not even a debate and yet they say opposite - I just shrug my shoulders and revel in the fact we are rubbing so many people up the wrong way. No one likes us we don't care
