Best result of the season ?
Best result of the season ?
Not the most important I think beating Leicester at the Turf was, this has to be it or at least up there, possibly the win at Old Trafford comes closest.

Best result - a draw and nearly a win at the current World, European and Premier League champions
I would say so

Man Utd away... the most important was the home win against Leicester

Re: Best result of the season ?
Because I'd waited all those years to see us win there, Old Trafford is up at the top for me but only for that reason. Today was just incredible, absolutely brilliant.

It says a lot when the best game of the season isn't that obvious, due to several contenders.

Today was the best result for me with all our injuries and limited experience on the bench and against the best side in the division by a million miles

Might be first on MOTD
Or will they concentrate on the battle at the bottom?

Utd away and today were fantastic, and maybe both could be described as " the best ". Most important is different, Leicester at home by a mile.

Re: Best result of the season ?
Beating Palace away was a pretty remarkable achievement given our circumstances on and off the pich at the time. I thought we'd get hammered.
You expect the lads to be up for games against the big boys but Palace and West Ham, crappy clubs, scrappy games with points potentially hard to get hold of. Did a beautiful job on both of them.

Re: Best result of the season ?
Nah. Have to say United. For many reasons.
The result. The venue. How well we (and they) have done so far. How long it took to come. The quality of the goals. And the fact we just dominated them and looked so comfortable in doing so. Like we belonged there.
Watford, West Ham and Norwich early on were. With the latter being the complete performance.
Bournemouth at home. Leicester extra important and Southampton away was superb.
Today nowhere close albeit a top result against a top side. But drawing at anfield in front of no fans is nothing like hammering United in front of 80k at old Trafford.

I really can’t choose between today and OT. Both were magnificent in different ways. Smash and grab today and dominant at OT. Liverpool are a way better team than United were when we played them in fact they currently the best club team in the World.

Re: Best result of the season ?
Am I right in saying United are unbeaten since that night at OT?
Liverpool are on a different level though - 35 points ahead of United - today felt like 7/8 years hard graft coming to fruition - it wasn't really the desperate clinging on to a point which has characterised so many of these performances over the years there was an element of control about it
Wasn't keen on the resumption and feared it would be like going through the motions but we seem to have really embraced it. Providing there are no significant departures really feels like we can carry this momentum into next season - which probably isn't too far off
As far as results go mention of the 3 points at Bournemouth - terrible game at a stage of the season where we were struggling and not playing well

Old Trafford the best result for me, historically and that we won.
Could have today, mind.

Re: Best result of the season ?
Old Trafford 22/1/20, best result of the season for quite a few reasons, but it feels like a long time ago. I think todays result was more draining. I went for a walk after and my legs were like jelly .
Re: Best result of the season ?
Win at OT for me too. Winning it in front of a full stadium was even better and unexpected. Strangely, I thought we'd get a result at Anfield and duly did.
