Sideshow Bob has started well, where's his head, this is the North London derby FGS, wake up man, and look interested.
Re: Today's football 12-7-2020
Shows how far we’ve come when I’d rather have our two CBs over Arsenal’s.

I don't know if he was to blame for the goal, but he's already made 2 big mistakes in the opening 20 minutes,he'd give me kittens as an Arsenal fan, you never know when he's going to throw in a clanger, it must be unsettling for the other cb, their whole defence looks rocky, and you'd always fancy your chances if you were an opposition striker.
Good game for the neutral, but both managers must be pulling their hair out with the poor defending.

Re: Today's football 12-7-2020
Palace have now lost 5 in a row. As you say, good job they got to the 40 mark a while ago; Man U at home, Wolves away, Spuds at home to come. Something's gone stale there. Wilf hasnt been himself for a while- maybe wants out again.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 4:43 pmit was bizarre, he just boots him in the shins !
Like I said further up the thread, I bet they are happy they had enough points before the re-start !!! Woeful
Benteke will be a big miss now as well
Re: Jack Grealish
He isn't the most fouled player. He's the player who "wins" the most free kicks. A very high number of his free kicks aren't fouls, but so many referees are genuinely of the opinion that the laws say that if two players touch and one falls over, that constitutes a foul.
It shows what a state the game is in that the ref thought today's was a penalty and that the VAR man needed twenty looks to overturn it. It's the most obvious, blatant dive you could hope to see. Arms flung up in the air, both feet leave the ground as he jumped sideways. If you wanted a video iof "what is a dive" for people who have never seen one before, this was it. And yet - just because he had stood on the Palace man's foot first - the VAR official was genuinely trying to work out whether it was a penalty or not.

A 12 year old has been arrested. What a shocking world we live in when this can happen.tiger76 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 3:00 pmJust seen this pathetic abuse of Zaha on social mediahttps://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53381586
Clearly the message isn't getting through to the caveman element in society.

Kids that age are usually pretty innocent. I suggest that whatever he said was probably influenced by his parents approach to race.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 5:18 pmA 12 year old has been arrested. What a shocking world we live in when this can happen.

That's worrying that someone so young can have such racist thoughts, of course we don't yet know all the details, so we'll have to see what if anything else emerges about this incident. but it doesn't make good reading.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 5:18 pmA 12 year old has been arrested. Re: Today's football 12-7-2020
Need some education around this in school if the culprit is intelligent enough to be at a proper school. Aston Villa have black players so he’s insulting them as well and therefore isn’t a proper Aston Villa fan. Not representative of Aston Villa in any way.

Re: Jack Grealish
Pathetic try to win a pen. He's a good player Grealish but really spoils himself with stuff like today. I also think he's to greedy at times and thinks he can take all on when there are better options available to him. Can't see him making a big impact at one of the bigger clubs unless he alters his attitude. Doubt he will.

Obviously picked up things from his parents. Don't know what he wrote but the way the world is going this kind of thing will become more and more common.

Never thought this would be a dilemma when the season started but an Arsenal win takes them well clear of us but any other result and Spurs go above us.

Draw is best result. I reckon with Arsenal’s run in we can finish above them. Not a bad season when u finish above the gunners

Yes Tony but that's why a draw is the best result for us. Arsenal still have to play both Liverpool and Man City.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 5:52 pmNever thought this would be a dilemma when the season started but an Arsenal win takes them well clear of us but any other result and Spurs go above us.

Draws looking favourite right now, it's gone really scrappy. And people think our games are boring.

Sugar! They will take some catching now.
Now we definitely need to win our last three, and Wolves won't be easy.
C'mon Arsenal.

Come on Leicester stuff them today and relegate them ,Dyche will soon become the longest serving manager in the Premier league thats some achievement at little old Burnley

Re: Today's football 12-7-2020
A draw would have been perfect because Spurs can now afford a draw if we win all three, but at the end of this gameweek it is likely that if we win all three, we will be in Europe next season. Things would then need to happen to deny us, City winning their appeal, Wolves winning at Chelsea, Arsenal beating Liverpool etc.

City are incredibly confident, i reckon they wont get a ban at all. The ban by UEFA is being backhanded by the superclubs who don't like the new kid on the blockCrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 6:27 pmA draw would have been perfect because Spurs can now afford a draw if we win all three, but at the end of this gameweek it is likely that if we win all three, we will be in Europe next season. Re: Bournemouth v Leicester
Vardy could and should run Bournemouth 's defence ragged, looking forward to this one,Eddie's time is almost up,cant see what his next move will be,stay at Bournemouth or ask the wife he can manage someone a bit further north.

Re: Bournemouth v Leicester
Even a win today probably won't be enough for Bournemouth, they've still got City at the Etihad, Southampton at home, Everton away, i can't see them getting many points from the 4 games.
But if they don't win today it really is goodbye to their PL stint.

A tap-in for Vardy, after more Keystone Cop defending by Bournemouth, it's all Leicester, and if Bournemouth don't wake up this could be a rout.
