I'm sorry to hear that, I wasnt even aware she was ill.

I was listening to her "Talking with Strangers" album the other week and stuck on my wish list her recentish (couple of years) "Earth is Sleeping" album. Only just became aware of that work and also noted it has 15 reviews on Amazon, each one 5 stars (I know there are a lot of over-praising reviews on Amazon but 15 X 5 stars isnt usual).

I missed her with Fairport, it was the Sandy era when I first saw them, saw her with Trader Horne at some point round about 1970 though. A nice voice and an interesting long career.

A great talented singer. However not very appreciated despite those reviews on Amazon, shazaming Jazzbirds only scored 8 Shazams.

She featured as vocalist on the first Fairport album along with Iain Matthews (1968) which was way before my time but i did see her perform "Both Sides Now" the Joni Mitchell song with Fairport at their Cropredy re union back in the early 80's.

It's fair to say her vocal was pretty shaky but that first Fairport album was good, and the fact that it remains available is testament to the musicians who appeared on it.
