That was on a par with suggesting they should take our players out. 'Just foul them!'ClaretTony wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 4:47 pmYou have to be concerned when the co-commentator believes unchallenged dropped balls are because of social distancing.
But close to the end she produced a classic line about what West Ham could do. She said: "They might as well try to equalise". Now that is inspirational stuff.

BBC commentary
I didn’t think we could get worse than BT last week with Karen but these two for BBC are just as bad. Currently sat here watching the game on mute. Just talk s**t for the sake of talking.

Re: BBC commentary
When we had the drinks break they were harping on about the game restarting with a corner for us,even me with me dodgy eyes saw it go for a throw, they went to to studio and big ears started harping on about this non existence corner, obviously not one of them had a clue are they even watching...come back Karen we forgive you...abysmal.

It's not too bad.
Anything would have better than than the BT. & I'm including a coms box full of Kenny Dalglish clones in that.
Big plus is they've not got our name wrong yet.

Stepping aside from the commentary for a moment, how bad have the BBC camera angles, positioning etc been?
Re: BBC commentary
I think the camera work is terrible tonight. Missing action while watching replays etc. Very poor

Re: BBC commentary
Commentary is fine. Its maybe a bit Wolves biased but nowhere near the West Ham game.
The coverage has been bloody awful- hey let's do some player cam and manager cam and replays of half arse chances whilst something interesting happens elsewhere.
People moan about Sky often but their quality makes the bbc look like some poor old fella from 1984 with a hand held vcr camera

Re: BBC commentary
It might be my claret tinted glasses but I felt the commentary and studio input could have all been mistaken for Wolves supporters.
Very positive about anything they did. Not very fussed about anything Burnley did.
Don't get me wrong, Wolves have some very nice players indeed, but the last segment in the studio was almost like the were upset Wolves didn't get all 3 points.

No problem whatsoever with Guy Mowbray and Dion Dublin, but the camera work showed that the BBC are totally out of practice covering live domestic football.

Re: BBC commentary
Commentary was fine for me
The worst pairing are Sky’s Hinchcliffe and Weaver
Hinchcliffe is arrogant and says things like “ he should have scored from there” and never allowing even a top striker to have the occasional miss.
Weaver tells you useless bits of info about 2 players in a team who’s family members live next door to each other
Between them there is never a pause in the commentary

I’m not usually one who thinks the whole world are against us but the last studio segment was cringeworthy. You’d have thought somebody had died. Lineker’s face signing off...
