He was excellent? When? I must have blinked and missed it.

Oh, and I've been happily unmarried since 2009. Long before Brady turned up.
He was in great form before his serious injury, so we know he has the ability.

Thanks for clarifying your marital status though.

Pope 7 - couldn’t do much nearly got their goal.
Bardsley 6 - Solid defensively but could get forward more.
Tarkowski 8 - very good defensively didn’t look troubled.
Long 8 - Solid stepping up well.
Taylor 7 - hope he’s not out too long
Pieters 6 - pretty poor lost the ball a lot and played some shocking balls.
Westwood 6 - became very good at passing the ball to the opposition.
Brownhill 7 - good enough performance and was impressive getting on the end of a Wood flick on nearly scoring.
McNeil 7 - drifted in and out but was pretty good. We could do with getting him more involved higher up.
Jay 6 - I thought today was his worst performance for a long time. Good movement but his touch wasn’t there today may have been due to carrying injury. Also got in the way of a good Wood shot first half and also took one when leaving it was the better option.
Wood 7 - Overall play was alright a little quiet but always a handful. Won his fair share of aerial duals but we didn’t pick up the second balls well. Terrible miss and he was gutted but made up for it winning a Pen and then converting it well. That will do his confidence a lot of good.

I don't care what you think of Brady, your comment that it was a waste of a sub is factually wrong.

Pope 7
Bardsley 7
Long 8
Tarkowski 8
Taylor 6 (JBG 7)
Pieters 8*
Westwood 6
Brownhill 6
McNeil 6
JRod 6 (Vydra 6)
Wood 7 (+1)

Opinions on Pieters seem to be very mixed. Personally thought he handled Traore really well (much better than Taylor did) which ultimately led to Traore being switched into a narrower role.

You have to remember that, when some people are giving marks, they no longer have Hendrick to mark down so they have to find another scapegoat.
Never worry though because Clarets fans always have and always will!

A bit hard there, We kept going for 96 minutes against a top 6 side. A lot of our players must be knackered. I enjoyed watching Vydra, Robbie for a few minutes and Joey - he always takes a few games to sharpen up. Bardsley, Pieters and Long are just top class pros. Nick could have done nothing better and looked like he was auditioning for the pass it out throw it out trophy.

Yes, that waste of space. One pass doesn't make him a good player. He's been pathetic all season and not very good before that. He scored a great free kick against Chelsea and for some reason that makes him a good player for ever in some people's eyes. Can't remember him doing a lot else.

How many times has Sean used him, even when he was fit? Not many and there's a reason for that.
He's been injured most of the season and prior to his injury at Leicester. Was one of our best players. He was unplayable at times prior to that unfortunate injury.

7's all round from me. Thank god Brady was brought on! No player likes to be injured and I'm sure Brady, as well as JBG, will be itching to keep fit and be in the starting 11 next season.

The end of the season can't come soon enough now for these patched up warriors, who lets face it, have worked miraculously since the resumption. Not a good match by any stretch, but we were playing a top top side who wouldn't look out of place in the top 4.

To get a point with our patch up side against a top side like Wolves is quite an achievement. We also had injuries to Taylor and Rodriguez to cope with

We are hobbling over the line now, as another excellent season comes to an end.

Plenty of effort, but bang average for most, I felt it was our poorest display since the re-start - yes, including the City game.

I agree with CT that Wolves are a very good side with some quality players.

When their team was announced, with Traore, Jota, Podence and Vinagre I couldn't see how we could cope. Yet we played it in such a way that they could hardly use all that pace. Only once was there a real threat when Jota was nicely played through but he was unable to hit the target, mainly because Pieters got back to close the angles. Their goal was a bit fortunate with the ricochet but perfectly executed by Jimenez.

Wolves defence are also very good and we created little too but still got three reasonable opportunities, Rodriguez a couple of times, once where he took a touch instead of hitting it first time and second where his shot got tangled in Wood's legs, and of course Wood's header. We got our luck with the penalty decision.

Last night after the game I thought we were poor but having slept on it I think we did well and a point is pretty respectable in the circumstances.

Pope 7 - Could do nothing with the strike. Was solid all round, his kicking was better with both feet.
Bardsley 5 - Huge fan of Phil but his passing was off today. They are a very fit, young and quick team which didn't help him. Great bravery at the end.
Long 7 - Battled hard from start to finish.
Tarkowski 7* - Not his best showing on the ball but helped Long man a good back four from start to finish in a game that we didn't deserve a point. Organised and a good leader.
Pieters 5 - Again very difficult opposition for an older pair of legs.
Gudmundson 6 - Tried hard, looked fit, an extra point for that lovely deep cross for Vydra.
Westwood 6 - Was very hard for Ashley today but still hit some good balls into the channels.
Brownhill 7 - Needed his energy today.
McNeil - Couldn't get involved in a mostly defensive display, tried his best with Adama.
Wood 5 - A passenger, awful miss, great bottle at the end. Scores a whole lot of key goals for us and deserves credit for it.
Jay Rod 6 - Tried all he could whilst on the pitch and was a more willing runner than Wood.

Vydra 7 - Did real well. The most energetic striker we have, but not bad at holding the ball and jumping for headers also. Good lay off for Wood.
Brady - Cannot score due to lack of time on the pitch but deserves respect for that delightful deep cross to Bards.

Great shame our first game after lockdown was Man City. In the games that followed that I have seen the most organised Burnley team since coming into the PL. Exceptionally hard to break down. Last night Wolves could have beaten anyone in the PL-however how many times was Pope called on. Absolutely no chance with Wolves goal-it was as hard to save as was Wood's penalty. The 6 performances bearing in mind the squad available have been incredible. Hopefully this has re-inforced the Garlick/SD relationship and we start the new season with sD the current coaches and a few shrewd good value signings in the Brownhill, Rodriguez mould. Happy to be a claret right now

Really excellent to get a point against a quality Portugal team on form.
We restricted them to very few chances and their goal was somewhat fortunate, but a great strike.
They control possession and we looked tired, especially in midfield. We gave the ball away too much, but we were always under pressure.
However neither keeper was really tested.

Pope 7 - no chance with the goal
Bardsley 7 - a tough night, but he stuck at it
Taylor 6 - Struggled with Traore, but most full backs would - hope his injury isn't bad
Long 8 - Gave his all, again, lots of good blocks - injured too?
Tarkowski 8 - Dealt well with skillful opposition
Pieters 7 - Incredible effort, gave the ball away too easily at times
Westwood 6 - Couldn't get a foothold in the game and looked tired
Brownhill 6 - See Westwood - probably his worst game so far, but he's done really well for us
McNeil 6 - See Brownhill - I still think he's most dangerous wide left
Wood 7 - Worked hard -1 for the dreadful miss +1 for a top quality penalty
Rodriguez 6 - Could have done better when through in the first half (but not easy) - hope his injury isn't bad

Gudmundsson 7 - Good to have him back - he looked a bit off the pace, but got better as the game went on
Vydra 7 - a couple of quality contributions

2 games to go - our character and determination continues to see us through. 10 - Dyche (once again!)
Enjoy it fellow clarets! If Sean leaves, it could be years before we reach these dizzy heights again.

Strange game, but in a way a familiar game. With 1 defeat now in 14, and in general our form since xmas 2019, do we now feel that "the framework" has been upgraded to cope with Premier league football? I know we will get the odd tonking off City, Chelsea etc, but it's now got to the stage that even if we play badly (as we did last night) we can still get something from any game home and away (bar the big six). That's a pretty good platform to build from.

As for last night, passing was awful, but with so many players carrying knocks, or just back in the side, it is never going to be conducive to playing flowing football. Also, other than the lucky rebound worldy, we limited a very good Wolves side to scraps.

Pope 7 - Look calm, kicking very good.
Bardsley 6 - Extra mark for the very brave header, but his constant hoofing was really annoying me
Tarkowski 7 - Did well against Jiminez, unlucky for the goal
Long 7 - Assured performance
Taylor 7 - Did well against Traore, shame he went off
Pieters 7 - Solid, can't grumble with someone who plays anywhere and gives his all
Westwood 5 - Poor game from him, passing radar totally off
Brownhill 6 - Slightly better than Westwood, like his energy. Seems to have a goal in him.
McNeil 6 - Looked tired, few glimpses of class
Wood 6 - Extra point for the nerves of steel penalty after missing a sitter
Rodriguez 6 - did ok

JBG 7 - Thought he looked busy, promising. Let's hope he stays fit
Vydra 7 - Always a threat, no real service

Dyche - 9 How he is still getting results when we have half a squad out is some kind of miracle

Extremely happy to naff off all the bitter smug Wolves fans who think they are some kind of BTEC Barcelona.

Not sure about that. Mee said that the players were greatly affected by the moronic fly-over incident. We were always 99% likely to lose that game. We then reacted really well in the days that followed and have played well since. Better that the plane disturbed our City game rather than a more "winnable" game like Watford, so on balance playing City first probably worked out best for us.

Just wanted to say that I thought Wood's "sitter' was actually quite a difficult chance when you see it. The angle Wood was approaching the ball at meant he really needed to "wrap his neck around" the ball to get it on target. As it came back in his direction fairly slowly from Vydra's excellent knock down this proved too difficult (and also him not having a neck like Jackie Charlton !).
I realise I'm sticking my own neck out offering this opinion !
Ione of the best penalties I've ever seen...as someone says on another thread it was emphatic in a Shearer-esque way.

Pope 7 Not a lot to do but did it well.
Bardsley 7 +1 for brave header that earned pen.
Long 7 decent game
Tarkowski 7 Solid
Taylor 6 Hope he's OK.
Pieters 6 What a warrior. Gave Traore a hard time and didn't flinch when Dendoncker (Clearly on instructions from bench) came on and basically fore arm smashed him
Westwood 5 Is he colour blind because he played some inch perfect passes to those in gold last night?
Brownhill 5 Found out what a very skilful midfield is like
McNeil 5 the odd touch but restricted and poor generally
Wood 6 + 1 Great penalty but what a miss!!!
Rodriguez 6 Hope he's OK.

JBG 6 showed willing but no end product
Vydra 6 Great back post header to set up Wood for the goal. Oh wait a minute???????
