Hope so. Just before his injury he was outstanding. A real pleasure to watch.

Re: Brady
Not sure he looked sharp. His two contributions prior to the excellent ball were him being needlessly dispossessed and letting Traore run off him and get a 1v1 from a free kick, which was eventually made to be retaken.

Waste of a sub. As I've said before, all he does is lose the ball.
One good pass doesn't make him a star man.

You're entitled to your point of view, but how many times did he lose the ball before then? That's what he's REALLY good at. Waste of space.firebfcfire wrote: ↑Wed Jul 15, 2020 9:12 pmWhat a ridiculous comment this is, played a great ball in which helped us win the penalty... Hardly a waste

Re: Brady
I hope Brady can regain some of his form in coming matches and next season.
We can't afford someone like him not too.
I think it's a confidence thing.
SInce his injury he's not look likely and almost frightened to get involved.

10mins on the pitch tonight, and 1 assist, I’d say that was a pretty good contribution considering it can take 10mins to get into the swing of things.

He's only 28, hopefully fully recovered now and will see the form that we know he's capable of. Sean must see something in him and so far we have no reason to doubt him. Get behind the lad

Re: Brady
He is capable of playing a great ball but loses posession far too easily overall. Not convinced he’s quite good enough for the PL. He’s been out for a bit so worth seeing if he can get back to his best stuff with more game time.
Re: Brady
His performance in the last 10 mins tonight pretty much sums up his performances since his long term injury.
When he came on tonight his first couple of touches were absolutely awful - but he then showed a good bit of quality for the penalty.
I don’t know whether he’s lost some pace or confidence (or both) but since the injury whenever he has been involved for me I see him off the pace, over hitting set pieces and losing the ball in dangerous places.....peppered with the odd bit of good quality.
Maybe it’s because he can’t get a decent run of playing and he needs that - now would have been the perfect time with us being safe but again he’s not been able to get over niggling injuries. Must be frustrating for him and the rest of the team.

Re: Brady
All about opinions - we sit in a group of around 12 of us friends and family and we all pretty much agree with our view on Brady.
But I’m still hoping he can return to some of his previous good form as he’s definitely got quality

Re: Brady
I've been one of Brady's biggest critics, but if he can get fit and start regularly, he can be a big asset, ditto JBG, both need a run if 10 or so games, before they'll feel properly match fit, and when they both keep breaking down they can't get that, good that in his brief appearance he impacted on the game, he has quality, but we don't see it enough sadly.

Gudmundsson and Brady back fit will be great. They are both creative, technical players in a team that lacks creativity. We have really strong wingers for a budget premier league team. I hope we can add to it with a replacement to Lennon.

Last week you were saying folk didn’t care about black lives like you did and this week you are saying all Brady ever does is lose the ball.
Have you ever considered that there is a middle ground in opinions?

You swore down that playing a 4-3-1-1 formation that you'd seen on a website was the way to go yesterday. Effectively leaving us with just one central midfielder (our smallest player) against a talented Wolves team. Then you question bringing on another attacking midfielder!?

He needs things to go right for him for a while.
Maybe a goal or two along with that.

Re: Brady
Definitely a confidence player but when he's on it, he's on it. Hoping he can find his mojo as when he is on form he offers a lot. Can't blame him for being a bit cautious but he needs to get past that and just play his game.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 5:46 amHe needs things to go right for him for a while.

Just on JBG. He played the pass of the night to put Jay in just before half time. A bit rusty, but great to see him back. He is a big asset and improves our crossing options massively.

As for Brady, he loses the ball far more often than he ever does anything useful with it. He's been like Chris Eagles, one good game in ten. Yet when we had a phone in for Man of the Match, all the girlies voted for him and he won nearly every time he played.

Re: Brady
Gudmundsson and Brady are both very good players at this level, but both haven’t played for months, so have reason to be a little rusty.
Thing is, when we bought them, neither had ever been injury prone players in their career. We have been very unlucky to lose them both for long periods as they offer creativity that only really Dwight does.

I’m glad we don’t play that formation, we find it hard with 10 outfield players at times, never mind 9BenWickes wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 5:39 amYou swore down that playing a 4-3-1-1 formation that you'd seen on a website was the way to go yesterday. Now you're clutching at straws. I've never suggested or implied that I was morally superior. All I said was that I had morals, unlike Trump and Johnson who don't.
Surprisingly, most people have morals, possibly even you, but morals have nothing to do with this thread.
