They can't be on more than 38 league games, anyway. So that'll be less than this season.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 12:00 amWhat to expect next season - Leeds - every game on TV

I'm expecting over £100m spent on signings just like Fulham n Villa did, with the same result @ the end of next season. Relegation!

Re: What to expect next season - Leeds
Leeds fans are in for a rude awakening I reckon.
Given they have lost almost as many games this season as we did in 2 whole successful championship campaigns means that they lose more games than they should. Could be quite funny watching them capitulate.....
I don’t think they have our strong jaw tbh

Finish in top 4, Bielsa will win both cups, the goons will twirl their scarves singing european champions and will claim they are the biggest club in the world.
or
Just be another team in the division
1 option is the truth and the other is what the bellends of the huge footballing city will have you believe

Could be a half decent side with a bit of strengthening.
It'll be nice to have some real rivalry again.

When in mid table of the championship, they don’t open the top tier of their only two tier stand.
Just let that sink in for a minute.... there is only one two tier stand at bellend rd. that’s incredible considering how utterly massive they are.

Think that was due to them getting home crowds of 16k -17k for league games in the dark dark days (about 4 years ago) maybe the rhinos were at home the same days

Hopefully when the league starts without any crowds in the grounds their first eight fixtures will be Man Utd, Man City, Newcastle and Liverpool all home and away.
Now that would make their fans happy.

Leeds are a settled side. If they bring in a couple of quality signings, along with a couple of experienced Premier league players they will be OK.

Re: What to expect next season - Leeds
I think Leeds and Burnley will be quite evenly matched and will both finish around 15th place next season.
Whether our ageing experienced squad wins over their vibrant and ambitious squad is a close one but where they might edge it is that their brilliant manager has everything to prove and is committed to Leeds whilst our brilliant manager seems to be getting itchy feet and letting his frustrations show.
One thing I guarantee though is that Leeds fans wont be forever posting on their messageboards about Burnley like jilted little schoolgirls as loads of our fans seem to do about them on here

I expect/hope that their fans will be really pi**ed off that they're paying around £50 at Elland Road and we're only paying £30!

Fancy people talking about a club hated most by many, that hasn't been in the Premier League for 16 years and on a football message board. Who'd have thought it.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 9:06 amI think Leeds and Burnley will be quite evenly matched and will both finish around 15th place next season.

I think if they get the right investment, they'll unfortunately be similar to what Wolves have done and be a top 7-8 side, aiming for Europe.

Its by no means a new phenomena on here but I do agree thats its totally predictable given the proclivity of some posters need to put other clubs down.
Fancy hating a football club though - bit pathetic really
Re: What to expect next season - Leeds
I watched the video and when Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino revere this man, then you know he really is a special coach.
Leeds will come up and if the video is accurate, will retain most of those who got them there. Yes they will spend some good money to strengthen, however, not to sign a new side.
This guy has drilled these players. He won't throw his baby out with the bath water.
A team to be carefully watched.

Re: What to expect next season - Leeds
Fans thinking they're a massive club.... top 5 biggest cities in the country, and can't fill their ground. Not even the biggest club in Yorkshire.
Arrogance to the power of 10...... You're only hear to watch Leeds.... nonsense
Champions Of Europe...... they're not
Loads of grey tracksuit bottoms.... Lads from Harehills, Seacroft, Armley etc telling you Burnley's a s***hole - and believing it
Belief they're better at everything...... why would anybody want to go to Burnley, when they can play at Leeds?
Thicknecks...... they make Padihamers look like Giraffes
Cheating...... institutionalised from the top to the bottom.
Refusal to accept they've been our nursery club for the last 5 years and more......
and hopefully relegation.

Re: What to expect next season - Leeds
Often the promoted sides who do well are the ones who don’t concede many goals. On that basis Leeds look OK but when I see them (too often for my liking) they still seem quite open. I see them being more of a Villa than a Sheff Utd or Wolves.

Re: What to expect next season - Leeds
To put their achievement into some perspective, we've enjoyed 3 promotions while they've been languishing in the lower leagues.
How they'll adapt to the top flight is tough to say, everybody thought Sheff Utd would be lambs to the slaughter this season, and that's been proven wholly inaccurate, they do need to strengthen though, and there's major question marks over the strength of the Championship this season, you'd expect them to be strong at Elland Rd, and that should be enough to keep them up, but i don't expect them to threaten the top half.

Well if you do what I do an avoid all punditry that isn't Burnley you'll only have to buy a new TV twice a year.Petersa wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 10:32 amI could do with some advice actually. I need a protective shield for my TV. I am already irritated by the following comments:

But seriously. Leeds is a big city with a wide fanbase. They get the TV time because of this. Ultimately broadcast TV is all about viewing figures so of course they'll be a lot about them just the same as there already is about other well supported teams.
It's not right, but that's the way it is. They cater for the masses and Burnley (or any other small town club) will never get the same attention just because we have a much smaller fan base and so little viewers it means nothing to the likes of Sky or the BBC.

I get they're a big city club etc etc but it's not like they've got a massively trophy laden past....
There are numerous clubs in the 4 divisions with similar honors/number of trophies who don't get half as much attention.
One of the most amusing collapses in living memory and still people think they deserve to be in the top flight
