Do we have a scouting network?
Managed by Warburton don’t really need one in this case?
Isn’t he mates with Dyche?

Absolute bargain another example of our scouting going array
I am certain we have dossiers on every potentially half decent player in the Championship, and probably Leagues 1&2 as well. SD's transfer targets don't have to be just decent footballers they must have that work ethic, team first ethos and the no more right amount of ego to fit in with the group.

Few of us on here know anything at all about this lad let alone whether he might meet SD's standards regarding his character. Same for 99% of the other 'must buy' or 'must look-at' players we will be reputedly interested in or advised to buy in the next few weeks and every transfer window thereafter.

No excuses if we miss out on this one. None whatsoever.

Enough watching, start bidding.

Only seen him on YouTube, so no idea how consistent he is or whether he’s capable of making the step up to the Prem.

You’d imagine for £4.7m it would be worth having cover for Dwight. Hardly high risk.

Fine, so if a bid has been accepted, why is there still speculation about where he might go? Surely it would be disingenuous if QPR than accepted a higher bid from elsewhere?
Selling club can accept a bid from multiple clubs if they wish, higher or equal.
Until the contract is signed the deal isn't completed, so any club could step in and gazump a transfer.

We've had a player at TM ready to sign on deadline day but then his parent club pulled the plug because their own incoming transfer didn't happen.

QPR reporters are stating Belgium has always been the players preference and his agent has engineered the move.

So unlikely he will be staying in England regardless

Looks a decent player on youtube. Question is can he turn it on consistently against the Man Utd's, Liverpool's or even the Brighton's as opposed to Luton, Stoke and Barnsley. He doesn't seem to have many suitors from the Premier League willing to take a punt.

Just because he would prefer Belgium doesn’t mean we shouldn’t force him to join us. We have people who have seen his YouTube clips who demand his signing so it is only right the club should act to satisfy this crave.

Wonder how many of these saying sign him were saying sign zac Clough a few year back after the odd good performance and a YouTube video

Question: How can QPR accept a bid from Brugge if the window isn't open yet? And why would they without seeing if other clubs might offer more?
Brugge have tried to steal a march, QPR have made the bud public in the hope of sparking action from the obvious admirers he has.

Good club management

They've released Marc Pugh, he'd be a far better acquisition, ticks far more boxes than this unknown quantity, and far less of a risk.

Not exactly a nice way of doing business though, is it? In the city, (The financial markets) they say "My word is my bond." Once agrred, it gets done.

Your second point is slightly different in that Burnley may have been warned that the move was conditional on the other transfer happening.

We've had a number fall through at the last moment. Craig Dawson was one. He was even sat in the stands watching his potential new team mates I believe. Then it all went south!

I would rather we were looking at Ryan Manning than BOS. Although other clubs are rumoured to be interested in him and a swap deal for Hugil wouldn't surprise me.

I've heard from a good source that Dyche is leaving for QPR at the end of the season, to be near to his secret lover Sergio Pizzorno from Kasabian and also nearer to France so he can go on his famous booze cruises every other week.

Dyche has told QPR, and I quote "don't sell Samuel to them tight northern b@stards". Apparently he is taking Pope, Tarky, O'Neill and the It's a way of life -Hearts, Legs and Minds sign from Gawthorpe, with him.

If he's as good as he looks in the video, it's still cheap. Thing is though, we already have pretty decent left winger.
There may be plans afoot to get him inside a little more, to his original position.

Think Steven Defour threading passes thru to Andre Gray.

I somehow don't think a young Steven Defour would be available for circa £5 million. Defour was sheer class. Such a shame he got injured.

Exactly my thoughts, he’s got the potential, and it is only potential to play a role similar to Fernandes at United.

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bright- ... erein/1039

On the right, below the positional pitch graphic, he is right footed and mainly plays on the right. Currently having his best season ever, by a long distance. Quick, good dribbler, quality passing game, crosses could be better, rarely tracks back, not great defensively, 5m is a fairly decent price. Warburton could give us a good insight into his character.

https://www.sofascore.com/player/bright ... uel/791616

I could get behind the idea of swapping Vydra for BOS and Manning ( although wages would be a big stumbling block and I doubt that Vydra would relish droping down into the Championship, even with regular game time on offer ).

Wishing upon a very distant star, I would swap Manning for Pieters plus cash and look elsewhere for a right winger with better defensive qualities.

Adding Manning could also open the door to selling Brady instead of running with the risk of losing him for nothing. He can play at left midfield as well as left back. Additional left back cover could be sought in the form of Anthony Caci ( LWB/RWB), Max Lowe ( I don't know why everyone ignores Lowe, electing to drool over Bogle when the wide defenders of Derby are discussed ), Omar Richards or maybe Demetri Mitchell ( he is available on a FREE, garden furniture and weed killer optional ).

Yup, thing is when are experts on here big up a player who turns out the be very average they wipe that player from their database.

We could also have one for players we should sign because they are good on fifa. We could probably win the champions league while spending 300k on that squad

Burnley interest in QPR winger

Post by TommyJohnson » Tue Jul 28, 2020 1:30 pm

Burnley are interested in signing Queens Park Rangers winger Bright Osayi-Samuel - but face missing out on a deal for the 22-year-old.

Osayi-Samuel has impressed in the Championship this season and is available for around £5million this summer with his contract expiring next year.

A host of clubs are keen on the talented wideman, including Burnley, but the Clarets have yet to make an offer and their indecision means others are likely to steal a march.

There is concrete interest from Belgian outfit Brugges, who can offer Champions League football and have had a bid accepted by QPR, but there remains time for Premier League sides to enter the market for a player who has six goals in the second tier this season.

The Clarets have been admirers of Osayi-Samuel and he is understood to tick the boxes for both manager and recruitment team but no bid has been lodged.

Sound like he fits the bill young and presume he is quick.

But we don't sign black players according to some....

Just ignore the thread title - we haven't had a 4.7m bid accepted.

The sort of player we should be looking at. Be surprised if we are top of the list of clubs QPR will deal with though after Nakhi Wells!
