Tonight's footy 17/7/20
West Ham v Watford. Draw a great bet ?
Current odds of a draw about 2/1. Would almost guarantee safety for both teams. 4 points clear of teams below with a draw and superior gd. So teams below would have to win their 2 remaining games and West Ham and Watford lose their last 2 games. Looks great odds to me

Re: West Ham v Watford. Draw a great bet ?
What do you think the chances are of Watford losing by more than 1 goal to Man City? Because unless you think it's next to impossible, the 4 goal GD advantage is irrelevant.

City have nothing to play for and struggled to. beat Bournemouth. Plus I don’t see Bournemouth or Villa winning last 2 games

I'd prefer a Watford win, to give Bournemouth a chance of sending WH down with Villa.

Ah! wondered where this thread was thanks FF.
Yep Leeds on the brink, and Huddersfield almost certain of survival if it stays like that, Brentford with a real chance of 2nd, unless WBA wake up 2nd half.

Now, like I say... Stoke will beat Brentford tomorrow. It's how football often bloody works.

Well I’ll say it - well done Leeds. Anyone who says otherwise clearly doesn’t remember how hard it is to get out of that league heading upwards.

Did what every Championship team has done near the top of the table - choked under the pressure. Leeds did too, but they just had **** poor competition.

Excellent advantage for Huddersfields winner. Never got a mention on comms and it deserved one.
Sad to see Charlie, one of the last decades great goalscorers, looking a shadow of a footballer.
Will he call his autobiography “ Charlie on Charlie”?

Re: Tonight's footy 17/7/20
Welcome back to the PL Leeds, what took you so long?
Huddersfield saving their skins for this season anyway.
West Brom are in danger of doing a Devon Loch, they were miles clear of the field, and they've just totally collapsed, and now it's out of their own hands.

Austin is nothing like the player he was. 26 league goals in the last four and a half years. I think things have caught up with him.DAVETHEVICAR wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 8:06 pmWBA “goal” was offside

Wow! a blistering start from the Hammers, looking bleak for Watford, and a lifeline for Bournemouth & Villa. Gray on the bench once more i see.

Re: Tonight's footy 17/7/20
What a strike from Rice
Only one in it on goal difference for Watford
But can Bournemouth manage 4 points to Watford losing to City and Arsenal?

If they survive, they'll be kept up only by Villa and Bournemouths ineptness.

Yeah, totally agree. Living near Watford, the locals are all in dismay and genuinely think they are doomed (even before the last 45 mins).ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 8:46 pmAnd yet when we restarted and they played Leicester I thought they were the one team at the bottom who were showing some real desire.
