The congratulations to Leeds thread, how insincere can you be ?

Apart from the birth of my children, marrying my soulmate and having grandchildren this is the happiest day of my life.

‘You won, Leeds. Enjoy the money, I hope it makes you very happy,’ ‘Dear Lord, what a sad little life, Leeds. You ruined my year, completely, so you could have the money, but I hope now you spend it on getting some lessons in grace and decorum because you have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on.’

Congratulations to the "mighty whites" I haven't been this happy since the day in woodwork where I over-planed my WW2 fighter plane in school and grated half my left on to the woodwork bench.

what a privilege it will be to have you amongst us next season.
Surely the most fair minded supporters in the land, never in my lifetime have I heard a bad word directed at your club.
we, as a footballing family welcome you, your teams have always epitomised decency and honesty throughout the decades.
someone reminded me recently of the troubled times on the terraces, not that any of you were aware, on the contrary, when fisticuffs were commonplace, Leeds were always the first to offer the olive branch and take opposing fans for a tea and biscuit at the nearest caff after the match. I for one applaud your niceness as a family club.

Can’t say I wanted them to go up but it’s seemed inevitable for quite a while. I know a number of decent Leeds fans so I’m happy for them. They’ve had a long spell in the doldrums so you’d hope their fans have learnt some humbleness, but I’m not holding my breath.

Apologies for a sincere post.

They certainly deserve to come up - so well done Leeds

The BBC have already said how the Premier League will benefit from having such a big club back...

Bournemouth will be happy that they’re probably going down. The last time Leeds played them away, their fan set most of the beach huts alight.

The best league in the world needs the biggest club, I’ve honestly yet to meet a Leeds fan I’ve disliked! They’re a huge club and for that reason alone deserve to be in the premier league.

Should imagine they will be linked with Messi, Bale,Ronaldo, VVD, this summer and can see the players buying themselves out of their contracts and walking there, just to play For the Mighty Leeds!

Marching on togetherrrrrrr
All Leeds aren’t we

I’ve not been this pleased since I discovered the slimey sensation I felt walking barefoot in the garden wasn’t a dog turd, but was in fact a slug (now dead) squishing between my toes.

Thanks for the 6 points Dirty Leeds

Congratulations to the smaller Yorkshire version of Newcastle. Let’s hope if you are allowed to come to ours next season being knocked across the 110 club for being mouthy has educated a little on how to behave. Sadly being Leeds I imagine mouthy is a city wide trait

Come on lads, surely as the supporters of a major club, who're almost fixtures in the world's biggest league, we ought to be holding out the hand of friendship to these noggy-pog clubs from the boondocks who make it to the top table for the odd year in every twenty?

The PL welcomes such a clean team with a history of sportsmanship and fair play unparalleled in the sport.

(Please note that it is a legal obligation to use the phrase Dirty Leeds whenever discussing them).

I saw a sign as the fans celebrated promotion that said 'Are you watching Manchester?'. The answer to that is no.

Congratulations on not being the first team ever to get promoted to the Premier League having spent a few years out of it, but getting excessive coverage.

For their fans, The PL has missed your fair mindedness, your class and your amazing repertoire of songs belted out from the terraces. Second only to ours I believe. Your match day behaviour has been sorely missed I can assure you.

Welcome back. No. Really. Welcome back. Hope it’s everything you remember.

For the team, well done. Great effort as we know all too well. Played some great stuff in getting here too.

Here’s hoping you keep that team together, especially Patrick up front, that’s gonna be a PROPER laugh watching him blubbing into his hands every week....

How more joyous the streets and pubs and clubs around Turf Moor will be when the shaven headed semi bald, beer bellied, nose pierced, knuckle dragging, beer stained replica shirt wearing, grunting, flatulence emitting white army arrive............why even their menfolk will be welcome as well.

Good to see them back where they belong.

I hear that special dispensation has in these Covid times been granted to the clinic on the outskirts of Leeds to undertake the necessary frontal lobotomies for the expected influx of world class superstars. It's where all new Leeds recruits go to have brain cells connected with decency and fair play removed.

Our absence from the top flight was more than twice the length of yours . Don't be disheartened that you don't get as much media coverage as we did, despite your return being more remarkable than ours

Sadly, a normally decent Leeds supporting mate has turned into an arrogant assh0le overnight. He sent me a text after last night’s game saying 2 yellows at worst and Pope will be a great addition to the Leeds squad. When I pointed out that they couldn’t afford him he came back with, he’ll come anyway as who wouldn’t want to play for a giant club with ambition instead of a small club fighting for survival every year. I might not be spending as much time with him in the future. Sad really. I should have pointed out that their goalie came to us, but I thought it better to let sleeping dogs lie, for the time being.

I'm sure I read once that Leeds United are top of the list when it comes to the club other fans dislike. No surprises.

They've started already: Police officer seriously injured as thousands celebrate Leeds United promotion.
