If we were down to 9 men we wouldn't even touch the ball.

Vydra should score but his movement is head and shoulders above what the other lads give us

I’ll tell you something, if we did lose Pope, I wouldn’t be adverse to getting Krull in as replacement

Good performance from Burnley given our injuries and number of games we have had to play in short time and today’s long journey

Well we won and kept a clean sheet which is the main thing.
Second half very frustrating when expectations were high

a wins a win, take that all day long but plenty to look at especially with taking so long to bring on Vydra

Massive difference when Vydra came on. Suddenly we stretched them and looked like scoring. A shame he wasn’t on earlier.

Re: Norwho? Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Standard win. Nothing to excite.
Krull, Zimmerman and Tettey would fit into our side but places on the bench is all they’d get.

Can’t argue with that, totally agreeCrosspoolClarets wrote: ↑Sat Jul 18, 2020 7:30 pmMassive difference when Vydra came on. Suddenly we stretched them and looked like scoring. A shame he wasn’t on earlier.
Re: Norwho? Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Very poor second half really with the strange tactic of trying to go through the middle of 2 banks of 4. No width no good deliveries. Brady abysmal.
Re: Norwho? Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Not sure what to think of that.
The little cameo from zimmerman just shows what Norwich have been missing most of the season at the back.
Their front line in the second half didn't look too different to that in most second halves for Norwich.
As usual they looked good for the first 15 minutes.
For us, JBG looked back on form. Back four solid, Brownhill shows again that he fits in.
I hope we can go back to carrow Road in the Premier league in 2021/2.

Re: Norwho? Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
Our lads had their Puerto Banus heads on. Three more points in the bag, in the he top half of the PL, above Arsenal, most clean sheets, should get record number of PL points for the club and Pope is excellent between the sheets. And yet it only seems yesterday when we were playing Rochdale and Maidstone and I never dreamed we would play in the top league again, happy days.

Re: Norwho? Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
100%, it's my biggest frustration with Dyche, we play far better football with Vydra on the pitch. Take the win all day long though, record points total, top 10 finish - got to say it like it is though even if it is nitpicking

Re: Norwho? Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
What's with all the moaning and groaning, 54 points, 15 wins, 15 clean sheets for Pope, and all you lot can do is find things to moan about, it was never going to be easy 2nd half, they were bound to get men behind the ball, and despite that we created a number of opportunities, and but for Krul we'd had 3/4 easy, we were totally in control 2nd half apart from that one scare in the last 5 minutes, that's as convincing an away win as you'll get in the PL.
Plus points Brady and JBG got more minutes, Brownhill looks the part, no additional injuries, and we've got 8 days until the Brighton game, so time for any knocks to clear. Such a shame Vydra couldn't bury that late chance, he just needs that bit of luck in front of goal, the rest of his game is fine, but he lacks that killer touch right now.

Re: Norwho? Versus MIGHTY CLARETS
so we aren't allowed to say what we actually saw - that we lacked creativity and Vydra should have been on earlier ?tiger76 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 18, 2020 7:43 pmWhat's with all the moaning and groaning, 54 points, 15 wins, 15 clean sheets for Pope, and all you lot can do is find things to moan about, it was never going to be easy 2nd half, they were bound to get men behind the ball, and despite that we created a number of opportunities, and but for Krul we'd had 3/4 easy, we were totally in control 2nd half apart from that one scare in the last 5 minutes, that's as convincing an away win as you'll get in the PL.

Might want to have a word with Dyche then because he's just said we were poor in the final third today

I was thinking that Zimmerman might be a good fit into our defensive system, albeit on one half's viewing ....timshorts wrote: ↑Sat Jul 18, 2020 7:33 pmNot sure what to think of that.

I was impressed with Matt Murray in the studio, good words about us and good analytical knowledge.
