Pope 9, two top saves
Bardsley 6
Long 7
Tarks 7
Pieters 7
McNeil 7
Brownhill 6
Westwood 8 - only person trying to inject some pace into the game
JBG 6
Jay 7
Wood 7

Brady 6

Did what they needed to do but hindered by some bizarre tactics. A game that was crying out for width and we decide to give McNeil a free roll and a game that was crying out for Vydra and he gets 10-15 mins.

Take the win and move on, well done lads - another great season

Pope 7 a couple of really good saves

Bardsley 5
Tarky 6
Long 6
Peiters 5

JBG 5
Westwood 5
Brownhill 5
McNeil 5

Wood 5
Jay 5

Not being able to break down a relegated side, with 9 men for 60 minutes was a very hard watch. We looked clueless at what to do when we couldnt just lump it high into the box.
When we have all the ball and are asked to play a bit we looked terrible.

May aswell had put 5 kids on and kept the back 5 on, couldn't have been any worse.
To be fair soon as Vydra came on we looked a lot better.

Must add I'm more annoyed as I had

3-0 single @ £5
3-0 wood to score first @ £5 so cost a few quid.

Was an awful watch too, I'd be annoyed had I not bet. It was terrible.

Thankfully Mr Dyche acknowledged we were very poor in the final 3rd, I was starting to think I watched a different game to some looking at the scores and potential scores...

Remember the seasons where a 2-0 win wasn't the worst game to watch all season. I know the records keep getting posted (Record number of wins, record clean sheets, highest individual goalscorer etc etc) but this quote probably succinctly tells you what an amazing season it's been. I'm sure that's how it's meant.

Sean Dyche... "today we were poor in the final 3rd" the front 6, an UTC rating of 4.

UTC fans give them 7s and 8s lol, and he protects his players so much.
I'm happy that I watched the same game as Mr Dyche, and have similar views/thoughts. Giving a neutral honest opinion is a good trait

Awful watching us try and break down a team with 9 men. The only way we looked like scoring in the second half was them scoring for us 😂 Not used to having so much of the ball I guess but badly lacking in creativity today.

Don't know how Wood has 13 goals. He misses absolute sitters and looks such a donkey most of the time. Still he keeps getting in the right place and knocking them in. Even if they do come of his shin they all count!

We have some miserable posters on here
Never satisfied with our performance when we win in the best and hardest League in the World
Critical of Wood who scores goals at this level season after season
Should go and watch Manchester City

He’s a very good striker and has proven that by improving his overall game as well as his goal return this year. He doesn’t drop in to midfield like Jay because he isn’t that type of striker. That is why they are a very good partnership. He has a goal every 181 minutes this season so he’s clearly doing something right, can’t be missing sitters every week. He has a very high shot to goal ratio to be fair. As for the donkey comment, he’s actually very quick as well for a big man once he gets going as shown by his ability to get on the end of balls in behind in the channels.

We are in the business end of the season and can still finish 6th with a bit (ok, a lot) of luck. So I would say that I’d expect us to be busting a gut, and by and large they did, which is what I think frustrated Norwich and got their players sent off.

My average marks are because we didn’t make the most of our numerical advantage and too many of our midfielders and fullbacks ran into blind alleys. There was little width, little stretching of Norwich, little playing for corners when we knew we would be totally dominant if our centre backs came up. People like Dwight and Brady were very culpable because 11v9 played right into their hands as flair players and they couldn’t rustle up much between them.

Part of me is frustrated that it is the mindset of the manager that leads to this - not committing too many forward or taking risks even with 9 opponents. He didn’t even bring Vydra on early with two spare men, he just kept us matched up against their two banks of four. He would deny that of course but I just wish he had more courage at times.

Still, a wins a win, but it is going to be an “if only” season where a few extra points would have done something fantastic, a bit more attacking zest may have got us there.

His shin and then his head today. No wonder Krul missed it. Pure fluke.

I think if both Lowton and Taylor played today it would have gave us the wide threat we needed. McNeil does do good work in the centre of the park, but with Johan, Brady and McNeil coming central or looking to cut inside the when in possession, two adventurous full backs would have given us the balance.

Dyche acknowledged it at the end of the match. Its not being pessimistic, this squad is playing to the absolute maximum of its abilities. But let's get out there and put money on this Jayden Bogle and a pacey direct wide man. Give the fans and Dyche some attacking excitement.

Pope 8 Two very good saves

Everyone else 7

Don’t really get the negativity around this performance. Did what we had to do. Played within ourselves, didn’t take too many risks, clean sheet for Pope. Job done

Dyche tried to give McNeil more freedom as the extra man, but it didn’t quite work. Remember all the injuries we’ve got. Taylor was a big miss today.

Very happy tonight. Genuinely puzzled why some others aren’t?

I suppose todays performance emphasised what were missing-a creative midfielder. We also lacked width and the ability to really stretch Norwich. We huffed and puffed and I'm certainly not trying to be hypercritical it's been a tremendous season. The lads have worked wonders against and all credit to them and the management team.

Great that we can win away from home and keep a clean sheet, but let’s be honest that was very average. 6.5 across the board for me. The records will show a 2 nil win which is all that matters.

The bookies love punters like you, since when did we ever win 3-0 away (or at home for that matter) in the Premier League :D

I actually thought we did OK. A limited selection choice after the grind of playing the volume of games we have played in a short space of time. We've kept the run going of 1 loss in 15 games (who ever thought they would see a Burnley side do that in the Premier League) and yet people still moan! But for their keeper it actually could have been 5 or 6 ffs

Pope 8
Bardsley 7
Tarkowski 8
Long 8 MOM
Pieters 7
Gudmundsson 7
Westwood 7
Brownhill 7
McNeil 7
Wood 8
Rodriguez 7
Vydra 7

Pope 7*
Bardsley 6
Tarkowski 7
Long 7
Pieters 6
JBG 6
Brownhill 6
Westwood 6
McNeil 6
Wood 6
Jay 6

Vydra 6
Brady 5

3 points, again the performance is irrelevant.

Difficult to play against 8 men behind the ball when we're not used to having all the possession. Job done. 3 points.

Was I the only one worrying when it was 1-0?

My starting base is 7. They go up and down from there. Nobody played below average and Pope made two crucial, for him, saves.
Pope.....8
The rest..7

Vydra looked good again but still a 7.

Pope - 7

The rest, 6

I’ve never had a reaction to a Burnley goal like I did for the second, I just laughed out loud
