Where will we finish?
Where will we finish?
8th 9th or 10th?
Maybe I'm being optimistic but I think we will finish 8th
For that to happen we would need to beat Brighton and Arsenal to either lose against Aston Villa or Watford or draw or lose both their games
Oh and Sheffield Utd to drop points against Southampton

Re: Where will we finish?
It is crazy to think we could collect 18 points post lockdown and not move a single place up the table!
Still, it will be great to take that momentum into next season.

A draw on Sunday and stay 10th
Arsenal to get a cricket score against Watford and draw at Villa

Well we're currently 9th and reckon we can win and remain there.

Woody summed it up in his post match interview when he said the team were all playing for Popey next Sunday, to get the Golden Gloves and the record points haul....

Re: Where will we finish?
Why is that. Have other teams above us had a similar run? I know those below us have struggled at best.
In 8 games post lockdown palace have lost 7. I know they’re safe. But that’s some record. Had they won the 7 they’d have been third!
Shows how much of an affect their fans have.
Re: Where will we finish?
Shows how much penalty’s helped Palace last year! Zaha hasn’t broken sweat either

All I want is to finish above miracle team Sheff Utd

Re: Where will we finish?
Post lockdown form amongst the Europa contenders:
Spurs - 17 points from 8
Wolves - 16 pts from 8
Burnley - 15 pts from 8
Arsenal - 13 pts from 8
Sheff Utd - 11pts from 9
The 2 teams with lower points per game than us both had a game in hand and superior GD.
9th for me too.

Re: Where will we finish?
Real shame we couldn't convert those draws against Sheff U & Wolves into wins but that's life.
Still think we'll finish 10th but 9th is a real possibility. Would be amazing to finish above Arsenal.

Re: Where will we finish?
Still in the premier league for 2020/21 season, that's all that matters
Re: Where will we finish?
I know what you're saying but 15 points from those 8 games with a paper thin squad is way beyond what we could reasonably have expected and I wouldn't say we were hard done to in either of the Sheff U or Wolves games.

9th for me which means we will be above Arsenal or Sheff U. We could of course still finish 8th above both of them ! Come on Villa oh and hope Watford score today
Re: Where will we finish?
With £2m per place, it’s all to play for. Above Arsenal would be nice.

Precisely but I always want us to do better.
Our returns since the re-start with all the mitigating circumstances have been phenomenal.

Re: Where will we finish?
You'd really rather finish above Sheff Utd than the Arsenal???
I really don't get that.
Sheff U have done well and it would be great to overtake them on the last day, but to finish above Arsenal (David Luiz et al) would be just fantastic - if only to wind up their fan-base ad upset the media.

Re: Where will we finish?
If Villa win tonight we could well finish above Arsenal, and we've got a fair chance of finishing above Sheff Utd.
If anybody would have said after the NYD villa game, we'd be contemplating finishing 8th, you'd have been accused of being on the funny stuff.
But it could yet happen.

Re: Where will we finish?
Looks like my prediction/op of us finishing 8th could turn out to be correct
Need to beat Brighton and Sheffield Utd to drop points against Southampton. And then Arsenal could get a cricket score against Watford and we would still finish 8th

Re: Where will we finish?
Win against Brighton and we'll finish above Arsenal come what may, if Sheff U get the win then so be it, but it's been a great 2nd half of the season, to finish above Arsenal would cap the campaign off in style.

Re: Where will we finish?
I'm guessing 9th.
I didn't realise the prize money was so substantial for each higher position. Hope it will help with the financial disagreements Dyche and Garlick have been having.

Re: Where will we finish?
If 8th, and not withstanding any Covid reductions to prize money, I think we get £13.5m more than last season & £17.7m more than we budget for. I understand a lot of this will be paid out in bonus’, but we also presumably have less players now some have left, and will have an £8m lower wage bill next year assuming we can offload Gibson and excluding any incoming transfers/rises.JohnDearyMe wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 2:25 pmI'm guessing 9th.

9th feels more likely so knock £2m off the above. Hoping Danny will do us a big favour on Sunday!
