Leeds fans celebrations
Anyone seen the mess left behind after the fans came out to celebrate ?
there are literally tons of rubbish strewn across the whole area. mostly it appears to be glass bottles.
massive clear up at huge expense too. Not suggesting it would be any different elsewhere , but for so many adults to behave like that is very poor.
similar thing happened in manchester about a month back at some music event in a field. several tons of **** that took a volunteer army to get shut of. I would have thought in these more ecologically aware times this sort of thing would be less of a prob, especially with a younger crowd. Most of the major festivals are left like council dumps , they preach all the right on messages and act the complete opposite. filthy pigs the lot of 'em.

Also there was a lady police officer who sustained serious head injuries as well. Nice to see proper Leeds fans went back to help clear the mess up.

Shows there's good and bad in all fan-bases, well done for the Leeds fans who tidied up the mess, and their actions portray them and the club in a good light.conyoviejo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 10:52 pmAlso there was a lady police officer who sustained serious head injuries as well. I'd like to think that Burnley fans would behave differently, but we have our idiot minority, so they'd probably behave just as stupidly as their Leeds counterparts.

Just walked down Pendle and filled a carrier bag (found in a bush) of litter. Can’t understand why people just drop their rubbish, it’s not acceptable anywhere but you go up Pendle to enjoy the scenery and then people leave their crap there to ruin it for everyone else.

A major problem here is that some of this rubbish is 'toxic' or even worse!Burnleyareback2 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 11:05 pmJust walked down Pendle and filled a carrier bag (found in a bush) of litter
Be careful when doing the public spirited thing.

Exactly the same when we went for a walk round Hurstwood reservoir last week. a couple of bags we had with us. Even the car park was littered with rubbish where people had just emptied
their cars right where they had parked.

Was just about to post this. Saw a bloke up there who was off work. Not even from round here. But going up there to pick up people’s dog **** and mess. Disgusting.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 11:15 pmExactly the same when we went for a walk round Hurstwood reservoir last week. Crap everywhere, we filled

Re: Leeds fans celebrations
The council need to get some people to catch them.
Re: Leeds fans celebrations
It must be a culture thing. You only have to look at the Japanese in the World Cup. They stayed behind to clear up the mess left behind by fans and not just their own. Here. I often see people coming out of a shop, unwrapping their purchase and throwing the rubbish on the floor when there's a bin literally five feet away.

Re: Leeds fans celebrations
I'm sorry, but people who drop litter are scrubbers, there's really no need.
The most annoying thing is there always seems to be a bin either within 10 metre's or on the way out of the playground, park, car park etc.
Sometimes they go at greater lengths to hide or dispose of the rubbish.
Its certainly a generational thing as my son has to always tell his friends to pick up their litter from the park or football cage after a shop visit, and they often drop it purposely so he has to pick it up as "banter"
I've said if I ever see him drop any rubbish on the floor, he will never take another £1 out of the house to go to the shop for sweets or drinks.
( and yes I am a tight/grumpy b*stard )
