Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Chester mentioned something I'd thought of. He covered a lot of other things I wasn't aware of.
"but will soon find that their wages will at least match ours"
I can't see Berge having come in on £8k a week and any new signings will want serious money. And Ramsdale will want a good deal.

Sounds promising - maybe a longer term Dwight replacement then?kaptin1 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 11:26 amBit of background on O’Brien from the Huddersfield website...
“Lewis O’Brien progressed through the Huddersfield Town Academy into the Club’s First Team set-up.
Before his successful loan spell in Sky Bet League 1 with Bradford City, the midfielder won the Huddersfield Town Academy Player of the Year award for two successive seasons.
Lewis, who was born in Colchester and joined the Terriers at Under-11 level, is a left-footed midfielder who is capable to play both in the middle and out wide. The hard-working youngsters is creative on the ball and doesn’t shy away from a tackle.
During his time at Bradford City, Lewis made over 40 appearances in all competitions and scored four goals in Sky Bet League 1.
During the 2016/17 season, he started 27 games for Town's Under-23s side and a late flurry of goals towards the end of the campaign saw the midfielder top the goal scoring chart.
Lewis first broke into Town’s Development Squad in the 2015/16 season and helped the team to win the Professional Development League 2 title.“

Yes, of course we're going to sell our best striker for £13 million, less than we paid for him, and with 3 years left on his contract.Firthy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 2:24 pmSome of the rumours are pure fantasy and probably come from reading this forum.

Every player has a price, that we'd sell for if somebody offered it - for Wood, that's got to be nearer £33 million.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Who writes these articles someone has actually sat down and written an article suggesting we’d be happy to sell Wood for 13 million?! I suggest they find a new careerFirthy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 2:24 pmSome of the rumours are pure fantasy and probably come from reading this forum.

Nottinghamshire Live, which I assume is as reliable as Lancs Live reporting Worrall is seeking assurances of first team football.
A few Forest fans have posted comments. None are overly complimentary about him. A few saying there's no way he's going to dislodge the Mee/Tarkowski partnership. Another suggesting he'll be loaned out as he's not good enough (can't see that), one suggesting he's one for the future, maybe two years down the line (which is probably what we are thinking, barring injuries. One wanting to do our transfers for us. Suggesting we sell Pope to Chelsea, sign Henderson from Man Utd and buy Matty Cash from them They'd all take Gibson though.

If the Gibson situation and a replacement centre half does not resolve itself , then with Dunk possibly off to Chelsea for £40m it gives us an option to approach Chelsea. This would give Lampard a surplus of centre halves, and its maybe worth enquiring if we could get Tomori on loan until January with an option to extend if both parties were happy on how the first phase went. Unlike Gibson I suspect he would not expect to be starting. He is a very promising no nonsense CH who I recall got on to the fringe of the England team. We were supposedly looking at him when at loan at Derby.

Anyone with a chance of PL football will at least want to discuss with the respective club.Thats where you need smart people who can sell a club to someone. Use the patience that Tarks, Westwood, Pope, showed, but they took their chances and now regulars. Support this with Michael Keane. Tell them that any injury to Mee or Tarks and they are in the frame. Its easy to do nothing and convince yourself no-one of any worth wants to come on loan.

That would be brilliant. He didn’t name him though and seemed very dismissive “struggle to get all the departments at Burnley to agree”. Suspect it’s rubbish like most things he’s posted about us this summer.SGr wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 8:38 pmNixon says Maehle is still wanted but no bid yet. Overall though, I’d like us to make a statement in the market this year and go for one or two players that could get straight involved in the first team and help us push on.

No link just opinion.
Simon Francis released by B’mouth. He would be better on the bench for us than Joe Worrall.
Appreciate Worrall would be one for the future but I don’t rate him.

Let’s be real here. If Lazio have actually approached us, Wood’s head will have been turned. Difficult to compete against Champions League football and a life in Rome!
