These monster posts are getting tedious
Is it possible to put a 50 word limit on posts .that may encourage posters to keep to the point

Would love to see him central left playing with Dwight on the left. Just WOW. Reminds me of Defore

Firstly - to those who for whatever reason, do not like LTLs posts....either don’t read them or comment accordingly as he is giving an opinion and that is all. Opinions vary, petty little comments towards him and his posts have been seen lately and a few weeks ago I think, and personally I think it’s pathetic. He may mention some players who end up being/ already are pretty shite, but nobody gets everything right so chill out guys.

Secondly - Cosgrove is also a no from me by the way - I think if he was good enough that a championship team would have taken him by now.

They missed out that he is reputedly a big fan of horse racing and the owner of Déesse de Bouillon. It might help our cause that a few of our players are also active participants in the sport of kings.

Dear LTL (even the name is long winded) your information could be worthwhile if it didn't read like a dissertation where most people will not be encouraged to follow the argument, to consider your assessment. So that means loss of most of the audience. So why bother? Communication depends on relatively short, summarised, and transparent arguments.

I could have written another 2,000 words but this is not about me.

Why on Earth are some people rattled by someone posting a long informative comment?

I've no problem with LTL's long posts, or anyone else's for that matter. I think the problem is when people quote him and the post is repeated in full which does clog up the thread. Perhaps the board could be tweaked so that quotes are limited to, say, the first 100 characters followed by a few dots. if someone really wants to read the whole post again they can simply scroll back through the thread.

Is a comment not a comment though, not 5000 words?
A message board is for a message, not a tome?

I don’t get rattled by it but I just don’t have time to read them as I check in for a few minutes every day. So I skip them completely.

So perhaps LTL is missing a lot of audience, people wanting to read his posts, just because they’re too long. Whether he or she cares about that I don’t know. I just don’t have time to read them, personally.

I do feel they would be a great asset for The Athletic or any medium where I had an hour to myself to read it and time to follow his links. Sunday morning supplement, etc.

Nobody should be rattled by them when they are so amusing.

Load Fifa on your playstation, scroll down to obscure leagues or teams not doing well in other leagues, pick a group of 15-20 players and then claim you have watched a lot of teams like Lokomtiv Sofia, Jammerbugt etc and talk down any players we are linked with when they haven't made your lists.

Finally once window is closed hammer Rigg on here due to him having your dream job.

Watched the Santamaria video - looks a grafter but from what I saw, those expecting a Defour replacement, this doesn't look to be it. Looks a decent defensive midfielder. Reminds mo of a tame Joey Barton without the needle. As long as the fee isn't silly then I wouldn't be against it. Would need time to adjust to the English game though.

I don't think time to adjust would be an issue, we probably wouldn't see him for about 18 months!

Pleasing and concerning in equal measures.

Pleasing that “we have our feelers out”  and importantly “we’re first in line”, trying to get players. I can handle loosing a player if we’re out bid, but get frustrated when we don’t even try. I also think you improve your chances if you show a player you want them.

Concerning that he says “We're into a lot of situations early, but, with how the market works, everyone goes and tells the world that we're in and they look for a bigger deal if they can.” Suggests whoever we are in for has been leaked to the media already and I can’t get too excited about Cash, Worrall, O’Brien or Santamaria!

Watching our defence all moving as one is a joy to me. Coached to perfection.
With the money involved we will never be an 80 goals a season team so take pleasure elsewhere. This is professional sport, winning is everything.

A bit here... https://home.nzcity.co.nz/news/article.aspx?id=317312

Chris Wood reckons the English Premier League suits him best.

The All Whites striker has been linked with a move to Serie A and Lazio during the off-season, away from Burnley.

Wood says he's happy at Turf Moor until they tell him otherwise, and loves the English style.

Anything that keeps us above Rovers for me. I really don't care what people think, fans, pundits, anyone. We play some good stuff. We have one of the hottest prospects in McNeil and regardless of what Southgate thinks, we have by far the best English goalkeeper in Pope.

Long may it continue.

As always scroll to page 3...Fulham and Burnley have set their sights on signing teenage goalkeeper Felix Goddard following his release from Manchester City.
If this is true, then for once I suspect that a London/higher-profile club might be the one struggling to compete with the allure of Burnley; if I were a teenage goalkeeper hoping to make a career of it, I would be looking at what Billy Mercer's achieved with Heaton/Pope and be getting to Gawthorpe just as fast as I could.

The owner would like to see us grind a 1-0 win as for fans we would like to see our team out our half now and again. It would of been interesting to see the attendances for the upcoming season.

The owner would like to see us grind a 1-0 win as for fans we would like to see our team out our half now and again. It would of been interesting to see the attendances for the upcoming season.
‘We fans’? I’m quite enjoying us winning games in the top flight.

We've come a long way when one of our players prefers Burnley to Rome.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say that Brian Easton is the most talented player Burnley have ever had.

Seen a suggestion on Twitter that Robbie Brady might be going to Huddersfield on loan as part of a deal for Lewis O’Brien.

I've just gone looking. Certainly no source that I'd easily trust, but at the same time, it's hardly a headline breaker for someone to make up.
