Ask any player - Do you want to play in the Champion's League - they'd say Yes
Does that mean they want a transfer - No
Does that mean they want a transfer to West Ham - Hell No

He’s worth more than £30m to us. We won’t be able to spend the money in time with all the dilly dallying around we do.

I said to my wife earlier. Just watch. They'll go up in £3 million increments. Sure enough! We both just laughed.clarethomer wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 5:59 pmThird bid for Tarks - £30m from WHU

£30m - that was the reported bid on Monday
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Just think theyll be husbands and wives fans of the likes of Forest, WBA and Stoke who do the same with us, only the increments they laugh at is are 200k and on a weekly basis.

If they did they've got it all wrong. They reportedly bid £27 million yesterday
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Our manager would love a club that their bids went up in 3m increments daily, not 200k weekly.
You really cannot blame jim for his regular little moans.
It must really grind him down.
Be a sad day when Mr Dyche leaves this club, and we start to decline immediately.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Obviously Sean Dyche has to keep reiterating that Burnley are in a healthy financial position and have no need to sell any of their star players, to say differently would have a detrimental effect on our transfer dealings and would mean that clubs would offer less money in the hope that we have to "sell to survive".
It will be interesting to see what we actually are prepared to accept for our prize assets if either, or both, Tarks and Dwight depart. How much less than £50m will we accept for Tarks? Bearing in mind a 25% sell on fee has to be paid to Brentford.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
If Tarks is of the opinion that he cannot achieve his goals (Champions League and International honours) by staying then we have little alternative but to seriously listen to offers.
The fact that the squad has shrunk, with no real quality replacements for either Tarks or Dwight, is a problem for the manager to rectify.

Can't be selling to a club in PL which will make our job harder than it already is imo without someone ready to step up/in who we think can do an equal if not better job - which is a tough ask.

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
Cannot imagine West Ham paying £50 million or even £40 million, so depends on our resolve and as to whether any other clubs will pay the figure that has been quoted by Sean Dyche and others.
Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
You're still missing the vital point. He's more likely of getting Champions League football and England games with us than West Ham!kentonclaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 6:27 pmIf Tarks is of the opinion that he cannot achieve his goals (Champions League and International honours) by staying then we have little alternative but to seriously listen to offers.

More than likely, that will be the sticking point on any deals, not the actual price but when it's actually paid.Woodleyclaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 6:41 pmWe dont have to sell but at £50m he will go

If we didn't start talking about a new contract last March it would be a dereliction of duty by all managementGranny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 5:36 pmOn Tarks id be hoping we have offered him a new deal.
Here’s an extra £20k a week with 2 extra years in his contract. Release fee stays the same. He knows we won’t let him go cheap for 18 months so he might as well be earning extra.
Clubs don’t let players go cheap these days even as contracts start coming to an end. It’s worth far too much to be in the Premier League.
Don't see him now accepting any new offer with Leicester in the frame (forget WHU - they are going nowhere)
Given our current incoming activity we need to play hard ball and hang on until next summer at the earliest

Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS SUMMER 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)
I'd say at the moment West Ham are a good possibility for bottom three and relegation.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 6:20 pmHow much less than £50m will we earn in the Championship, vs keeping hold of him and staying in the Premier League?
If we were to sell Tarkowski to them then there'd be a good possibility it would be us in the bottom three replacing WHU.
The subsequent loss in PL revenue far outweighs the fee received if we can't replace like for like.
Guess it all comes down to what the player wants.

Funny that. True too. Probably have to set up a new ISA or something to keep it in.

You can only put twenty grand a year in an isa, could be a few years till we get it all tax free!

"“Can we do it? Yes. Does it need stretching? Yes, it does. You can’t forever just work on a net spend of 9 million pounds a year. It’s not impossible, but it’s improbable that is going to work over a long period."
-Sean Dyche, 2020.

Villa after Martinez from Arsenal for £20 million. Good signing if they can get it done. Not sure where that leaves Tom Heaton though?

Sure I just saw Clive Holt outside the turf with his Polaroid camera so potentially a new signing to be unveiled?

transfer windows are really just a way of making money for agents. They serve no other purpose.

52 pages of speculation on foxestalk based on someone seeing someone who resembles Dwight Mcneil at their training ground, one of their fans stuck 100 notes on him to sign which shifted the betting.
