Is this like when Venkys thought they could get Beckham & Ronaldinho in to play under Maradonna?

Good luck to them.
The only reason they went down all those years ago was because they didn't throw money at it.

Isn't that what got them to the Champions League semi-finals? Spending money they didn't have under David O'Leary.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 4:47 pmThe only reason they went down all those years ago was because they didn't throw money at it.

I'm pretty sure they spent a lot of money they didn't actually have, as I recall. Or was that tongue in cheek?cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 4:47 pmGood luck to them.

Of course they will just be at the head of a plethora of many International stars who can't wait to wear the famous Leeds United colours.
Re: Zlatan Ibrahimovic AND Edinson Cavani
They went down after never replacing the manager. It was a pretty talented squad that got relegated.

If this happens then I will walk through the Trinity Shipping Centre with a Man Unt shirt whilst wearing a Roy Keane mask.

I've done it many times with a Burnley shirt on - no Roy Keane mask though.pushpinpussy wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 6:19 pmIf this happens then I will walk through the Trinity Shipping Centre with a Man Unt shirt whilst wearing a Roy Keane mask.

Re: Zlatan Ibrahimovic AND Edinson Cavani
Unless they’ve spent a hell of a lot on Elland Road since I last visited, the only internationals they will be recruiting work in demolition... what kin dump... a big dump, but a dump.
Anyone welcoming them back was too young to remember what a loathsome lot their supporters really are... I will even be shouting for the likes of Brighton, West Ham and Man Utd against that ****.

It would never, ever happen in a million years but I'd love to see Cavani at Burnley. Great player and really enjoyed watching him play for a very good Uruguay side at the 2018 World Cup.

Would suit us perfectly. However more chance of us signing Thomas Edison.williamjblazkowicz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 6:57 pmIt would never, ever happen in a million years but I'd love to see Cavani at Burnley. They’ll enjoy all that pressing under Bielsa at their age!

When they were appointing new managers, there was a point when you were asked to leave the waiting room if you weren't bald.Alanstevensonsgloves wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 8:54 pmMy t'roversssss mate still talks of the time Zidane almost signed.

Re: Zlatan Ibrahimovic AND Edinson Cavani
I hope more stories like this come out from the Leeds owner. I can’t imagine Bielsa being the sort to be told who the club might be signing.

Why would I sign for my English clubs main rivals?

Re: Zlatan Ibrahimovic AND Edinson Cavani
And the owner openly admits he’s not spoken to Bielsa about them, what could possibly go wrong?
