Pickford sale?

Post by huw.Y.WattfromWare » Sat Jul 25, 2020 12:40 am

ESPN reporting Everton and Leeds interested in ManU’s Sergio Romero who is fed up with being a back up. If that's true are Everton selling Pickford? Ancelotti might have seen enough of butter fingers already.

Everton and Leeds United are both keen on Manchester United and Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero, 33, who has become frustrated in his role as a back-up at Old Trafford. (ESPN)

Talk of Pickford getting an England contract as Southgate worried playing behind that Everton defence is impacting his confidence.

Dont think it will happen but as Southgates obvious #1 it makes sense if this can help him improve and play better in the Euro's next year

Everton's number 2, Stekelenburg; is leaving at the end of the season. One would think they'd be looking at Romero as a replacement rather than a first choice. So Romero wouldn't be in a better place than at Man Utd. I get why he'd be frustrated though. If he can't get regular games with the way De Gea is playing, he never will there.

I thought Ancelloti had made it clear he wanted a keeper.
Doesn't think Pickford cuts the mustard.

He’s absolutely garbage and should be nowhere near Everton’s number 1 spot let alone England’s.

Once of a day a keeper was judged on punching, catching, controlling the box, shot stopping, marshalling the defence and the ability to kick the ball to over the half way line.
Now the main priority is to be able to pass the ball 20 yards to feet and camera saves.

Just seen his howler for the Stanislas goal, he's got to do better with that, he's supposed to be England's premier keeper for goodness sake.
