Day to thank the Players, Manager & all involved

Post by LoveCurryPies » Sun Jul 26, 2020 7:58 am

Whatever position we finish today, it’s been another incredible season. Sadly we can’t be there to applaud our appreciation. So maybe it’s time for a thread to say “Thank You” for the pride our Club has brought to the town.

ps. Fingers crossed for Pope’s golden gloves!

An outstandingly good season.... Way better than I could’ve hope for.

SD and his back room staff get the best out of our lads and have done so for quite some time.

Very proud of they way they play, and the way they conduct themselves.

Just remember how truly rotten things felt coming off the Aston Villa game on January 1st...and then the Chelsea away game ten days later...What a fifteen games it has been since then.

It's been another incredible season but I was only looking this morning at the away results since Christmas 2018 - we've played 28, won 10, drawn 8 and lost 10. That's absolutely remarkable.

Another special season, I won't be running on the pitch but very much a day of thanks.

Well done to the Players and Coaching Staff for another tremendous achievement this season.

There is so much behind the scenes that contributes to what happens on the pitch and we should also be proud of the efforts of the non playing staff at the club.

UP THE CLARETS!

Absolute agreement with the OP. I can’t count how many times I’ve been so proud of their guts, determination and fight to squeeze points from matches that most outsiders would have written us off.
Thank you to everybody connected to the club for their efforts.

I suspect quite a few weren't thinking outstanding on New years day after the defeat to Villa and with us sitting 4 points off the drop! Since then the form certainly has been amazing and kept all the Dyche doubters quiet!

Hopefully it’s not thank you and goodbye.....

I do wonder what the obnoxious section of our support at Chelsea made of our games since defeat at the bridge...there were certainly Dyche out messages as we left the stadium that day....

If Dyche does go this summer, as looks likely, then what a way to sign off. A superb season.

I thought we were down after we got murdered at Sheff Utd. Dyche is a genius though, and here we are again, reminiscing about another outstanding season.

We'll always have days like Sheff U and Spurs (unfortunately i was at both games), when we're not quite at it.

SD's skill is making sure we're committed and ready more often than not over the 38 games.

Marvellous season with the undoubted highlight winning at Old Trafford and watching 65,000 trembling bottom lips leaving the stadium after having their pants pulled down by the mighty Clarets.

Amazing effort by all. Especially with the circumstances of the past 10 games or so. Probably better than the season we finished 7th when you bear the above in mind. Fingers crossed Sean doesn't go, but if he does he's worked wonders for this club and town

Yes, we will always have games like the two you mention but after both we went on and won the next two.

As for Old Trafford, amazing, simply amazing night.

Just want to add my thanks to Dyche, players and back room staff.
Well done and you've made most clarets more than happy.

I just hope Garlick does release the purse strings a little and Dyche stays and
manages to bring in one or two decent signings who help to improve us.

I think it's going to be even tougher next season but it's some achievement
to be looking forward to our fifth season in the top division.
Not many could have dreamt or predicted that!

We were safe back in February after we beat Bournemouth 3-0 at home. I was worried that if Football came back after lockdown we’d get dragged into a relegation fight....

Another good season behind the Management, staff and players; a top half finish and the end of a weird season to say the least.

Thanks to everyone involved in what can only be classed as a successful season. All we need now is some new blood (please board), keep our manager and his backroom and press on again next season, whenever that may be.
