Once Upon A Time In Iraq - BBC series

Post by GodIsADeeJay81 » Tue Jul 28, 2020 11:01 pm

Anyone watched this on BBC iplayer?

Story of the Iraq invasion told by civilians, journos and a handful of soldiers.

I'm on episode 4 out of 5 and it's well worth a watch.

Shows what a complete mess the Americans made, why they're hated so much and how groups like Isis took advantage.

Yes.
It's worth watching.
My ex's Dad was part of the UN team first in (suit not camo').
I can't post stuff he told me on here - shocking.
I was watching a prog' about it years ago and said to the then partner "that's your dad" it showed UN exiting plane an being welcomed on the tarmac - it was him and she didn't know he had ever been there, or his wife!
Fascinating guy.
The last person on earth you'd expect to be there.

Some of the Politics is lightly passed over in the program though mentioned.

Watched it through and if anyone was to see the pure embodiment of bravery checkout “Mosul Eye” and what he did.
