Hard to argue with most of that. Although Fernandes only played half of the season didn't he?

He did, but lets be honest, he did more in that half season than the rest of the team for the full season

Fernandes was outstanding and made a huge impact for Man Utd.

I’m surprised Pulisic hasn’t been praised far more for his season. He matched Hazards best season goals and assists total. I know stats don’t really show the true levels of performances etc but to do that in his first season in England is very impressive. Especially when you think how much hype surrounded Hazard.

Basham isn't even the best centre half at Sheff U.

Wat? Hazard scored 16 goals and had 15 assists in his last season at Chelsea. Pulisic was nowhere near that this season.

Certainly looks a great talent.
But he started the season on the bench and did not play in a third of all league games.
Scored 9 goals in the league - 3 of them in one game against us. Assists wise he got 4....he does go on some great runs and carries the ball really well but nowhere near as many as Hazard in directly providing the final pass or cross for goals.

The only surprise to me is the inclusion of Basham, but then i'm struggling for an obvious alternative, and playing alongside VVD will help anybody look good, Danny Ings is unlucky to miss out, but you can't leave out any of the 3 forwards, so he'll have to miss out alas.

Garth Crooks team is pretty similar.

Except he has Ederson, Maguire, and Aubameyang in, and he's picked Sterling in a wide midfield role.

Sheffield United conceded fewer goals than any side outside the top three. No doubt their defence is a collective unit like ours but fair play to Shearer for acknowledging the Blades achievement by giving one of their defenders a slot.
