Disrespectful?

Bore off, Selby. You’re not fit to chalk Ronnie’s cue.

Good to see Selby so gracious in defeat.

Now Now, Selby is a great player. Perhaps even top 5 ever. Obviously hurting from a loss that came out of no where.. If you're feeling aggrieved over anything, even small then you might say something you regret... Although in general I think there's no love lost between these two.

The hitting balls thing, Disrespectful? maybe, from another player. But we all know Ronnie "losses it" sometimes. Pressure is a freak. I think it was more of a sign of the pressure Ronnie was under.

As for moving the cue / standing up. Well he said nothing at the time. And this isn't something I would expect from Ronnie at all.

Selby is a better version of Peter Ebdon.

He’s a tit and you certainly wouldn’t pay to watch him. The Stoke City of snooker.

Think there was another incident similar with McGill & clarke, really it should be a rule where you need to be seated when the opposing player is taking there shot imo, not saying it would have made any difference it's impossible to be sure, just stops any unpleasantness.

Strange start to the final 3-2 to Ronnie, but it's pretty scrappy stuff. To be expected I suppose after the drama of yesterday.

5-2 to Ronnie. I wonder if he'll start to open a bit of a larger gap now.

He will if Wilson keeps missing easy balls, you can't keep giving Ronnie chances, and if Ronnie can nick this last frame, it'll have been a great session for him, without him hitting the heights he's capable of.

And Ronnie did pinch that final frame, he's in a great position to push on in the evening session, and if he extends his lead tonight, it's hard to see Wilson pulling it back even with 2 sessions remaining.

8-3 Ronnie but Kyren is hanging in there and he's still got a chance, plenty of snooker left in this match yet.

Ronnie always goes through tough times. The win vs Selby, he probably only had ONE session when he wasn't going through a tough time. But he struggled through, and was amazed he won. Absolutely amazed.

I want Wilson to win. We've had the entertainment from Ronnie, that's enough.

Ronnie not playing the best but needed the last frame I think to go in 3 ahead, Wilson seemed to be the better player, makes it more interesting for tomorrow, if Ronnie doesn't improve could be very close.

You'd still rather be in Ronnie's position 10-7 is still a decent lead, if it had ended 9-8 it really would have been getting tense, but him nicking that last frame just gives him some breathing space again, and Ronnie's not really played well in this final, and yet he's still got his nose in front, if he can even share the 3rd session he's in a great place to go on and seal the deal, if he manages to eke out a narrow advantage from that session, he'll be a hard man to stop once the finishing lines in sight. Ronnie had a bad session there but he only lost it 5-4, OK he was 8-2 ahead but it was never as one-sided as it appeared, and it's rare for one player to dominate all 4 sessions of the final.

I agree, Ronnie's got it in him to go up a gear & play far better & Wilson I think was playing to his maximum there & still didn't manage to take complete control, it'll only be close tomorrow if Ronnie doesn't improve & Wilson continues to play well.

Would’ve been 9-8 if he’d potted that red! Overplayed for the black I think. 3 frames up will be hard to claw back on the final day now.

If Wilson's going to mount a comeback he'll need to start quickly tomorrow. if he gifts Ronnie the first couple of frames, then it'll be nigh impossible for him, even when Ronnie's not at his best he can still reel off the odd frame in quick fashion, and that's what makes is so hard playing catch-up against him, the bizarre thing is although Wilson won the session, the manner of that last frame means Ronnie will go into tomorrow on a high whereas Kyren is still chasing, and it's when your chasing that you tend to push the boat out and leave chances, this match is by no means over, but Ronnie will be relieved to have come out of a bad session still 3 to the good, it's unlikely he'll play as badly tomorrow, and every frame that he can tick off however they're won will edge him towards the finishing line. what winning that last frame has done is keep Ronnie in the match even if he loses the afternoon session tomorrow, unless it's a heavy loss which is unlikely in the context of this match, then Wilson isn't going to build a big lead, and even if Wilson takes the 3rd session say 5-3 then he'll still be behind heading into the 4th session albeit narrowly, that's why it was such a vital frame for Ronnie to take, and it always gives you a boost when you know you haven't played great, but you steal the last frame of the session, that must encourage Ronnie, and frustrate his opponent especially when he had a chance to clear up and be only 1 frame behind, the difference between a single frame deficit, and 3 frame deficit is huge at this stage of the final, and Ronnie will feel his dodged a bullet there, and it's just checked Kyren's growing momentum, that's crucial for him to do.

It's not an insurmountable gap, but you'd always rather have the frames on the board, and Ronnie's been here before, whereas it's Kyren's debut in the final, that must play into Ronnie's hands, as he'll know what to expect on the Sunday, doesn't automatically mean he's a cert to win, but he'd be a slight favourite as it stands, and Ronnie only needs one good session, whereas Kyren will probably need to win both session tomorrow, that's a big ask against someone of Ronnie's calibre and experience, and you can't see Ronnie playing as poorly tomorrow, the pattern has tended to be at this tournament both these players have had one bad session in a match, but they've recovered hence why they're both in the final, surely it won't be another final frame decider, that would be bonkers after the way both semi-finals concluded, although the way this tournament has gone I wouldn't rule anything out.

I hope it does go to the final frame. Can’t see it with the experience difference though. Ronnie would look a bit silly if he got beaten by a rookie finalist after his comments

Ideal start for Ronnie, he lost the opening frame, but he's bagged the next 2 12-8, and you feel Wilson has to win this next frame to stay in touch, if Ronnie goes 5 ahead you can't see him not going on to win. And both players are playing better, but Kyren's missing when he can't afford too, you can't gift Ronnie frames. and that's what he's done this session.

Soon to be 13-8.

5 clear with 5 needed. This is when it's going to be beyond Kyren's reach, if he loses another. 14-8 would be too much to claw back.

Ronnie's gone up a gear today, and he can see the finishing line, it's hard to see Kyren winning 10 out of 14 frames, and that's what he needs to do, that's why that final frame of last night was so important, Ronnie played poorly in that session, but he salvaged something out of it, and today he's a different player, and even his long pots are dropping, Kyren has to win this mini session 3-1 to stay on Ronnie's coattails, and even then he faces a mountain in the evening session, if the match isn't virtually over by then, if this continues it might well be a formality tonight.

There's been some incredible comebacks down the years at the Crucible, but you can't see this even being close, Ronnie has stepped on the gas, and Kyren has missed some potable balls, if Kyren is going to win a WC, and he's got the skills to do it, he'll need to improve his positional play, there's been numerous occasions in this final where he's been among the balls with a good chance of sealing the frame, and he's lost control of the cue ball, and Ronnie won't often give you 2nd chances once he's in.

I didn’t think Wilson would ever have a better chance of winning the Chanpionship before the final started, the way Ronnie played for the most part against Selby, but he’s proven to be a class above.

I think reaching the final will be the pinnacle of Kyren’s career, unfortunately for him.

Think the epic semi final wiped him out unfortunately.

Ronnie’s been 6/10 at best but it’s been more than enough.

A surprisingly easy win for Ronnie in the end. I couldn't see that score line after Wilson won the 1st frame this afternoon, but the rocket just went into overdrive and roared away with ease.

44 and still going strong, he could yet surpass Hendry's 7 world titles at this rate.

Now if he could only get a cue action he might become a player.

Well done Ronnie, he talked the talk, but he then walked the walk, and only the greats can do that.

Kyren will learn from this experience, and he'll be a regular at the business end of the Crucible events for many years to come, I'll be surprised if he doesn't win a WC, but they aren't easy things to win, especially with the depth of talent in snooker these days.
