Accrington beat East Lancs, courtesy of 6 penalty runs awarded because East Lancs did not complete their overs in time .... 36 wides were included in Accrington's 50 " extras " out of their total of 158/9 .....the next highest scorer was 21 !!

Good win for the House.
Re: Lancashire League Cricket
It’s no wonder that they couldn't bowl their overs in time, with having to bowl 6 overs extra due to the 36 wides!Clarets4me wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 12:25 amAccrington beat East Lancs, courtesy of 6 penalty runs awarded because East Lancs did not complete their overs in time .... 36 wides were included in Accrington's 50 " extras " out of their total of 158/9 .....the next highest scorer was 21 !!

2 b, 2 lb, 4 nb, 36 w, 6 pen - official scorecard.Clarets4me wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 12:25 amAccrington beat East Lancs, courtesy of 6 penalty runs awarded because East Lancs did not complete their overs in time .... 36 wides were included in Accrington's 50 " extras " out of their total of 158/9 .....the next highest scorer was 21 !!
What I would like to know is why Accrington had their target raised to 156 because the match had been reduced to 39 overs though East Lancs only batted for 39 in the 1st place?
Re: Lancashire League Cricket
Duckworth Lewis method. East Lancs must have started the innings expecting 40 overs and lost one on the way.
