Tina and Bobby (9PM ITV)
For those like myself who missed this first time around, it's being repeated starting tonight.
Ironically England's WC winning captain is portrayed by the Scottish actor Lorne MacFadyen, Tina is of course the delectable Michelle Keegan, and her mother is Patsy Kensit, finally David Bamber is Alf Ramsey , how much is true and how much is fiction IDK, but it sounds a good watch anyway.

I always wondered what he did after playing for Blackpool.

For all the hype surrounding his career I never saw him have a good game at Turf Moor.

World class player although it was once said he was a centre half who couldn't tackle, couldn't head the ball and was as slow as a cart horse. You are right though, he didn't travel well when it came to playing at Burnley.Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 11:02 amFor all the hype surrounding his career I never saw him have a good game at Turf Moor.

Re: Tina and Bobby (9PM ITV)
My all-time favourite non-Burnley player. My one and only visit to Ewood Park (other than the obvious ones!) was to see him play his last ever match. He was with Fulham that day, with George Best in the team too. I just wanted to see his last match, and was pleased that I was there. The result was 1-0 to the team not called Fulham but it was all about Moore really!

I can remember the chant to him for sticking the hair product he endorsed ,up yer arse
I always get mixed up with the name, was it vitalis or something, vitalin was the dog food I think, both as good as each other.

I remember this the first time round, it’s one of those football biopics written for those who don’t like football. I don’t think I even finished it.
Re: Tina and Bobby (9PM ITV)
Been tempted to watch but wasn't he squeaky clean?
I like my TV shows to have some drama. Something like 'Wayne Rooney - The Granny years', 'John, Mr & Mrs Bridge', 'Gazza - To catch a killer with chicken, beer and a fishing rod' or 'Harry Kane - How I scored Fulham's winner in the 2020 Play Off Final'

John Terry and I II, III, IIII etc
John Terry wife swap edition.
A Bridge too far with John Terry.
I watched the trailer for this show and it's really not for me. I'd rather watch a documentary about the football. Mind you watching any normal TV is dismal nowadays, especially if you don't record to skip ads.

Re: Tina and Bobby (9PM ITV)
As it happens I don't think it's a particularly well written piece, but it had the potential.
Brilliant young player, (temporarily as it turned out), defeats cancer to lead his country to World Cup victory. That's some story.

Re: Tina and Bobby (9PM ITV)
Brilliant.
I still think that the funniest attempt at a new song on the Turf was;
"Mrs Bridge is going down, going down etc....
...... on John Terry"

I also went to that game at Ewood Park just so I could see Bobby Moore play his final game.Im_not_Robbie_Blake wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 11:25 amMy all-time favourite non-Burnley player. It was just around 18 months ago that I sold the programme on ebay for 50 quid.

Re: Tina and Bobby (9PM ITV)
Like all top players (incl Best, Beckham, Sterling etc) opposition fans liked to bait him a fair bit, despite the 1966 achievement. I remember Moore being serenaded at TM with (to the same tune as "Come to Ewood, Come to Ewood) "Where's the bracelet, Where's the bracelet....".Martinc265 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 06, 2020 1:44 pmI can remember the chant to him for sticking the hair product he endorsed ,up yer arse

That mustve been the season after Mexico WC in 1970 summer- so 70/71 season. I think 'arry was in their team that day as well.
Great defender anyway, read the game very well; not that Im likely to watch the tv show.
